staying up late
eating the largest amount of junk
laughing so hard
that we cant even talk
staying up late
living on the phone
with conversations
that make this feel like my home
staying up late
"she said what?!"
-instigating without the drama
but not letting it get to our head
but now...
now
i stay up late
staring out the window
looking at the moon
and hoping you are too
staying up late
worrying and
hoping
and wondering
when you're coming home.

Do you ever think of me?
Can you feel when I think of you?
Do you ever remember me-
and all the things we used to do?
Do you ever wish for a change?
have you ever had a regret?
Do you wish you could go back to the days
when we’d be shy around each other-
when we first me?
Do you still see my smile
every time you close your eyes?
Do you wish that, even for a while,
you hadn’t had the guts to lie?
Do you remember the little things?
Do you reminisce on things that I did to get you mad?
Do you still smell that scent I’d always bring?
Do you still get mad at yourself for making me sad?
Have you found another person who fits
so well together, like when you held me?
Do you ever think back at our first kiss?
Do you ever end up mad at me?
Do you still believe in love?
Can you still find our heart in the sand?
Do think you’d let go of my hand?
Do you r egret losing your second home?
Do you regret-
letting me go?
