Syeda Zafar Poem
Dear best friend, I hope you are doing fine
I wonder why our worlds no longer collide,
Remember those long talks that went on for hours
Those road trips that we took in my brother's stolen car.
Remember the time I fell off that old mango tree
How we never got tired of our endless shopping spree,
The day you had your first heartbreak
Was the day we had our first fight
Gone were the days when we never used to shine.
Those movie marathons those endless chatter
I wonder why those things now don't matter,
I wonder if you think of us when alone at night
About that thing we called friendship in the olden times.
Dear best friend, I hope you are doing fine
I wonder why our worlds no longer collide.

Syeda Zafar Poem
Let Go
I can't allow this violation of myself
Can't deal with this disaster again,
Can't you see what I've been through?
How victorious I emerged from the hurdles you laid in my way
From the bottom of the world I found my way.
Now you stand there looking at me
Wondering how I survived inspite of all the difficulties.
No,it wasn't you who held me back
It was myself who couldn't talk back
About the injustice I've been forced to endure
While you waited for me to collapse
I emerged back stronger than ever before,
Telling all the oppressed to never let go
To spread your wings and prepare to soar
To hold you head high and just let go,
