Secret Crush

Her face is like candlelight in the dark
with eyes so deep in thought and
a smile so innocent

Brown hair so soft
Tickling her neck when the wind blows which
Softens her olive skin

Her heart is pure
Filled with sweetness but
Pounding with life

If she could live forever
She would and would
Never waste a single moment

To touch her is to really know her
Holding on to be complete
Kissing her softly and breathing her in

Never-ending laughter of youth and angels
Mind of a thousand scholars and a
Heart of a poet

The Things I Would Do If I Were You

I would soar through the bright and sunny sky,
plummeting to the ground at an alarming speed.
Go searching for the loch ness monster,
and steal a french fry off some guy's plate.

I would win a hot dog eating contest,
ask you to hold my hair while I got sick.
See the world through rose colored glasses,
and drink water from Mother Teresa's cup

I would discover the Fountain of Youth,
and start a wet T-shirt contest.
After winning, I would thank all the little people,
then find a noble cause to support.

I would be a big sister to a stranger,
dive into an icy river naked in Alaska.
Race someone up a mountain,
and hang glide back to the ground.

I would race up the Statue of Liberty,
then tip the naked cowboy in Time Square.
Lead a parade down a busy street,
for no reason except to dance and sing.

I would gamble all my money,
and win the grand prize,
Then give it all to charity,
and walk with my head held high.

Sometimes I wonder how I would feel to be you,
what I would do with the time I had inside your mind.
If I could be you for just one day,
it would be hard to go back to myself.

Love V Lust

Perversion, lost in thinking.
Somebody's identical,
But where?

Do I drown in these thoughts alone?
Reaching, stretching, grabbing...
Is there love, hidden deep within me?

Lust overpowers, takes over, strangles.
The rainbow glistens but is it real?
Preconceptions, faded and arbitrary.

Dirty secrets are everywhere.
People smile but are they happy?
Do the stars really shine so brightly?

Will I wake up dying and diseased?
Decaying, bitterness upon my body.
My mind deteriorates and succumbs to it.

Thief

Stolen youth, lost in the past
Hiding my face in my pillow,
Don't want him to hear.
Everything is soaking wet,
Laying very still,
Careful not to wake him.
My heart is full of sorrow,
Could this be all my life has to offer?
My body trembles and
My soul aches.
What could have been?
All time has withered away,
like a petal from a discarded bouquet.
I'm never alone yet I feel lonely.
Who is there to really care for me?
To hold me when I'm sad,
To tell me everything will be all right.
He isn't the one for me,
The one I married so long ago.
He's not as soft as she,
Nor is he as sweet.
Like a thief in the night,
Robbed of my youth and innocence.

Invisible Abomination

The desire that keeps my soul aligned
has been tightly wound for far too long.
The hunger that I feel inside,
is overpowering me to grow strong.

I've been forbidden and ostracized....
shackled, bound and broken.
Left renounced and forgotten,
with so many words still unspoken.

I yearn for her tender touch,
of butterfly kisses, tickles and caress.
To be wanted, needed, and craved
for all these needs I must suppress.

Go ahead, avoid my eyes as I pass,
if you don't see me then I don't exist.
If I'm just an invisible abomination,
then why does my longing persist?
