A Sonnet To Growing Older

A Sonnet To Growing Older

My heart now speaks to me of ageless things
Of solitary walks down country lanes
Of quilted calico with simpler schemes
Unhurried times, a pause, as quiet rain

In memory drenched, the budding heart reviews
Her nightly liaisons in twilight realms
 Illusive childlike carousel renews
 Majestic pensive thoughts and hopeful hymns;

With joy rekindles ! Magic carousel
It moves round and round in measured beat
Bewitching power of music sounds compel
The ageless ones to rambunctious retreat !

 Unhallowed fruit of age-
 My heart can sing !
Redeeming time to catch the brass-bound ring

Rocky

each of us is naked inside our clothes left as a tender rose as you suppose
an untimely gift so you get my drift in a center from the mind you got this
a tender swept deal amidst the pain zero in on a name heros plain
each day is a gift if you get my drift soft sorrow in the drift
live in the center of your mind circle in my mind...,
Kit Kat the sorrowful nap can give you a heart attack treasure in back
love is a coma a masterful sonar toward anything goes,

taking a cat nap with the sugar in the back folding hands as to react
circle in the wind the sorrowful minister wins the beauty as to reach a bit deep;
the folding of the hands embraced by the saviors hand
a commercial to breath knocked down to your knees
fragrance to the wind as in sorrowful win

a breath of lavender with a shed of Rosemary,
knocking as to dreaming the underscore is winning
proof a deposit in the closet a rip torn logic,
sure fire way to meeting cactus branch receiving glory be

life is busy when your making other plans all to understand the Willow nor the fan
time to embrace and understand:
Rocky running up those stairs one can't compare that nothing was there
he made his way drinking eggs slurpee,
a nestled beat stand room to repeat...,

Rocky throwing stones in regards to staying in the zone
having to fight Mr. T and The Russian or should I let somethings beam,
sweat pant Army pants the quietness of letting go beyond the branch of leting go
Rocky could fight like there's no tommorow amidst his pain nor sorrow,

Although the years have passed still having every reason to ask the flame of his glory
that's still not the end of the story,
see beyond the make believe his sees a heavenly need to help each other
pierced with regards of letting go

Rocky taco prize for letting things go bust up the beat to increase ts tempo
All those years ago the beat of letting go,
surfing through its magic a time before..,
Rocko taco take you their take you to the sky take you any where

life is built on faith make no mistake the proof is in the pudding who are you kiding
love has gained it also has lost humanities courageous of cost

Each new day we learn something valuable amidst the pain inside we gain
what are the marching orders let me be the first to explain:
A coward dies 1, 000 deaths a saint dies but one
in the ancients circle let them mark down but none
beauty in the famous beast lie down gently and repeat
a ballpark figure that one deserves to recapture

love has its roots down deep and structured for all to notice
how you had fought so hard and fierce my one truest love is gone from here
a challenge to be free is a question of time my one solution is using my mind
living on the edge and its going to my head sitting up at night all alone in bed
following the rainbow to the sky I see a reflection of you pass me by
Our war were in is almost over its so hard to believe I lost my lover...,

pierce the moon beam to the center of the heart

Stay Optimistic

Stay optimistic, even if you're
facing a set back. There are
many stages we go through in
our lives, but we manage, to get
back, on track. All good things
are possible, if you have
confidence in yourself and do as
much as you can. No one has
accomplished anything, in one day,
there has to be, a plan! Establishing
a routine, takes time, but it can lead
to many big opportunities, down the
road. At this point, you're bound to
find a way, to unburden, your heavy
load!
Let the good times outshine the bad times
Let the laughter drown out the tears
Let the light chase away the darkness including all your fears...
Turn your pain into strength and smile for you are alive, making all things possible but only possible if you try.

Jesus Is the Answer

Jesus Is The Answer

when your down to the lowest pit
Nobody around and they don't give a shit
all of life seems fragile being tossed as salad
when you run into a brick wall

Still there is hope never falter
Jesus Christ died almost 2, 000 years ago
on a cross for all the world to see
what was his prayer what was his final plea

Father forgive them for they no not what they do
he said the prayer now the rest is up to you
there are long lines being drawn in the sand
when will we as a society ever understand

he's not about steeples or a salesman giving you something to hear,
no his love was such that he suffered so much just to call some of us to follow...
Our flesh wants to serve sin, self & Satan

one drop of blood fell from his scale
he was always there every time we failed
it's not about being perfect but it's believing in a perfect savior
 Jesus is the answer

 eyes, hand & heart
Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand
 hopefully someday all will understand...

Critique Your Own Selves Critics

why is it I never in my life gave cadence as to critic another poets work
yet they find it perfectly acceptable to rate my own submissions
they aren't Jesus they don't walk on water so why should I bother with them
some are intellectualized wandering wizards others need attention like a baby
there I gave you your treat so wander back to your warm spot and shut your mouths
it doesn't help me when you crtic it just makes me think of what a perfect ass you are
going off someone cause of stupid grammattical errors we can't take it with us when we die
they themselves are mister perfect never doing anything wrong

see positive enforcement strengthens the heart where as negativity brings you down
plus who are they anyways:
Stay optimistic, even if you're
facing a set back. There are
many stages we go through in
our lives, but we manage, to get
back, on track. All good things
are possible, if you have

Turn your pain into strength and smile for you are alive, making all things possible but only possible if you try.
The critic is the frustrated wannabe who picks at others to compensate for his insecurities and to boost his delusions of grandeur. Most are moderately adequate poets at best and find it pleasurable to take it out on those who have some talent….Leave them on the “ignore” shelf.

All Fall Short

To the serious seeker
To the late night watcher of a double feature
Each of us is responsible to a holy God
We can either receive or reject
I bet your sorry that we met
But no one is perfect except for the Lord
Many of us stumble at his word
Yet it all comes down to what he did on the cross
this was never meant to be a tragic loss
Our flesh hates the things of God
Wants to instead serve sin, self & Satan
It's not a one time shopping event at your local seven eleven
It's all based upon a cross
Jesus Christ died 2, ooo years ago
on the cross for all the world to see
What was his prayer what was his final plea
Father please forgive them for they know not what they do
He said the prayer now the rest is up to you
Just like after 911 we all need to come together
Until you walk in another persons shoes you have no right to sing the blues...
God is faithful to his call such as a boy with a bat and ball
Hitting it across the street at the mall
Sin is actions in which humans rebel against God
Miss their true purpose for their lives
Surrendering instead to the prince of the air more then God cause all their deeds were evil
We all fall short of the glory of God
Take some time out to smell the roses
Everyday is a gift a new start to begin again
Learn to take it one day at a time
You can't find it in the clouds or even a sign
Start to really love each other brother
No one is perfect except for the Lord
Even the best it bound to fall
So you are seeking inspiration just look around you
Heal the hurts & wounds that bind you
Learn from each of your mistakes
Choose to keep your head up & walk by faith
 In time you will shine
Stop worrying and bringing yourself down
Don't ever wear your head down in a frown
We all make mistakes in this great game of life
Crisis maybe an opportunity to change
Live your life the best way you can
Look to the man who died for you with a plan
Faces your fears with sweet angelic tears

I Don'T Understand

I Don't Understand ?

why do some people get away with things and others don't
people are people so why should it be you and I appear awfully

no one questions anymore no one has a voice
it's the blind leading the blind soon will fall into a ditch

all the hero's and legends I knew as a child turned into idols of clay
don't you believe in what t.v. or the radio says about you

many seek for solace amidst the inner plight of silence
death is there doormat they squeeze all the love out of you

some seek to drawn there sorrows in a bottle like no tomorrow
the impulse of a hug takes a back seat with cheap lust

why does one equate logic for fear ?
I sit again in the silence alone,

minds that plug for bitter destruction in their brain washed minds
how it rains on the just & unjust...

a tug at the heart will light the inner spark to what I've been waiting for....
man has constructed living pyramids to honor their dead,

the notion of no atheists in fox holes
I don't debate them anymore only choose to love them instead

the walking dead having viscous hanging fangs that bite...
dot the i's and cross the t's

we resign as living socialites in our miniature soldier war
a toast of friends only to discover there is no love in their hearts

there are heads in the street for a burning cause but for what ?
they all claim its a banner of love but its hate in disguise

a lover in life is not the sinner
weak willed tyrants feeling a funeral in their brain

Why is love cheap lust these days get back to the basics
we choose to hide behind the false garb of compromise

Can't we see through all those twisted Satanic lies ?

Rap Per Cushions

yaw rap per cushions red like muffled punches by the fuzz who stops speeding bullets engraved on their tombstone, a family made bringing safe streets to the older folks...

yay man, the sin cup pay shun stuttered like a nervous kid, or ma self as a scared sullen boy, the nerdy geek, who felt the wrath of bullies branding words burning the psychic flesh of this then scapegoat.
yaw rap per cushions again my faithful friend out on the streets where peeps do meet
got to come clean living in the land of mean working as a village king
this nervous kid is full grown like a bat to the ball I stand up ten feet tall
used to be used to it last time I checked was a rooster feeling the pain in my brain

they say I got a nervous twitch while I wind up in a ditch what's my next pitch
the stereo is playing our favorite song can't we all just get along
flirting with fire in the midnight hour coming down to the wire a gun for hire
rap is for suckers making other plans this homeboy is working on his tan

Abandom Faith

Abandoned Faith'

Abandoned Faith" written by Alex McFarland and Jason Jimenez is a timely book about why Millenials are walking away from the church and how we can bring them back. The authors discuss how children who were raised in the church no longer attend once they go off to college. Parents are distraught, wondering what they did wrong. In many cases, families become estranged over the new generation of adults breaking family traditions.

When Jesus was here on earth he was a healer also to take time to pray...
Let's open ourselves that Jesus has healing for all of us this evening,
Reach down to lay hold of Christs' love far fresh and a new
The rumors are true, the tales of old
Seek life elsewhere, for this will hold none
Souls endlessly wander, all hope be gone
What rumors, you ask, whatever did befall
The christened stones, the blessed halls?
Loss of faith, sad but true
Loss of trust between me and you
Perhaps one day love will return
Until then I’ll continue to yearn
Christ in the upper room
Christ beneath the barren sod
Christ among the pier strock cold
beneath the peril & rod

he never told me it would be easy
this walk of faith let your mind radiate
feel the nurse whistle contemplate
in shades of peril Christ is there
We look to him
toward are sanctuary
a line formed across the sea

Book: Reflection on the Important Things
