Tammy Blakely Poem
I met a man one crazy night
He was full of humor
He was full of might
He gave me three chances
To make a match
To prove to him
I was one hell of a catch
We talked for hours
We talked till light
He had no sleep
O what a sight!
He went to work
I went to bed
I could not help it
He was stuck in my head
He made me laugh
He made me cry
I thought to myself
This must be the guy
He asked for my number
So that he could text
I wondered to myself
What could possibly be next?
We met for the first time
And both were amazed
At how comfortable we were
We must be half crazed!
It has been five months
Since that crazy night
Our hearts are spinning
In total delight!
Whenever we speak
Whenever we meet
Our hearts start to flutter
Our knees feel weak
Wanting to make it last
We are taking it slow
Not sure of where we are headed
Not sure where this will go
We want to be together
Of this we are quite sure
One day at a time
Is what we will endure.

Tammy Blakely Poem
I remember the stories, the pranks and the gags
That Grandpa would pull with his rattlesnake eggs
As we slowly but surely would open the pack
We knew it was now and we couldn't look back
When all of a sudden there was such a loud noise
We knew Grandpa got us with one of his toys
The sound of his laughter from the look in our eyes
Told all of us grandkids that he told us a lie
Then there were the tractors, the John Deere's' and the Cases'
How Grandpa enjoyed the look on their faces
As they would open the gifts, their eyes all a glow
They knew he did good as the disks were in tow
As the grandsons'' played in the gardens pretending they were fields
They wondered this year what their crops would yield
Then there were the granddaughters' that Grandpa loved so dear
Burning their fingers is what he did fear
So he built them curling iron and blow dryer racks
Knowing they were safe is all he wanted back
Now God has our Grandpa in heaven he will stay
Reminders he gives us each and every day
From the woodcrafts that he made to the accordion music he played
God has his carpenter, quilter, and musician and we are so glad
For we could have never asked for a better Granddad

Tammy Blakely Poem
To the luck of the Irish is what they say
For today we celebrate St. Patrick's Day
With little leprechauns running around
Their gold still hiding, waiting to be found
With four leaf clovers across a breast
Their myth of luck was put to the test
Then before our eyes
What should we behold?
But a leprechaun shouting,
"I found me gold!"

Tammy Blakely Poem
Today is our day to shine
To prove to the world that I am yours
And you are mine
The sun is out
The birds will sing
As you take my hand
I will accept your ring
Our hearts are entwined
My love for you will always bind
Yesterday we were each a separate soul
Today we are united as a whole
For better or worse
Till death do we part
We are married today
And ready for a fresh and wonderful start
I said, "I do."
As you did too
From this day forward love me forever
As I will you

Tammy Blakely Poem
It is a glorious sunrise
On this early misty summer morning
The first rays of the sun breaking through
Slowly lighting up the ending night sky
The colors are magnificent and radiant
The sun light starting to kiss my skin
The soft puffy clouds in the blue sky
I close my eyes to absorb my surroundings
The ever slight breeze caressing my body
I inhale slowly, letting the cool air fill my lungs
The silence is almost deafening
I could stay here forever in this perfect moment
I feel relaxed and almost giddy
My emotions running wild with glee
I open my eyes and take in the wondrous view
The sun now rising above the horizon
The birds are awakening, ringing in the new day
The dew on the grass, glistening like diamonds

Tammy Blakely Poem
It is you I love my love
So completely within my heart
Knowing forever,
That I could never
Live with you apart
Take this chance
Wrapped in romance
Gently within your soul
For it is my heart
That you kindly and lovingly stole
It is yours to give
It is yours to take
Let me help you wrap and bury it
Where it will not break
I will be yours
You will be mine
Loving each other
Until the end of time

Tammy Blakely Poem
I remember the last time you said goodbye
It was a knife in my heart, I started to cry
You captured my soul, you captured my heart
I can not fathom a life with you apart
I close my eyes and I can still feel your kiss
Knowing that is only a part of what I will miss
The feel of your hands on my tender skin
Wanting and needing to feel you within
The lingering memory of our heated breath
Is now only a living death
I have never felt so undeniably free
As when it was just you and me
Ringing in my ears is the music of your laughter
Blind fully unaware that you were sought after
My heart will never be the same
For you alone will always carry my flame
The sweetest words that rolled off your lips
Sending my life into a total eclipse
Your eyes alone told of your love for me
Knowing now that this is our true destiny
We were made for each other of this there is no doubt
Our love grows stronger day in and day out
When I close my eyes I can still see your face
Remembering what we have will always have a place

Tammy Blakely Poem
Look deep into my eyes
Look deep into my soul
See the love I have for you
As a person as a whole
I look deep into your eyes
I look deep into your soul
I see the love you have for me
As a person as a whole
Place your hand upon my chest
Place your hand upon my heart
Feel the love it beats for you
From the beginning from the start
I place my hand upon your chest
I place my hand upon your heart
I feel the love it beats for me
From the beginning from the start
Smell the scent of my skin
Smell the scent of my hair
Intoxicate your senses with me
So subtle and so fair
I smell the scent of your skin
I smell the scent of your hair
I intoxicate my senses with you
So subtle and so fair
Taste my lips upon yours
Taste my tongue that lies within
Sense the heat of my breath
As my kiss will now begin
I taste your lips upon mine
I taste your tongue that lies within
I sense the heat of your breath
As your kiss will now begin
Hear my words that I speak
Hear my words that I say
Know the love I have for you
Will never go away
I hear your words that you speak
I hear your words that you say
I know the love you have for me
Will never go away

Tammy Blakely Poem
I love you more than the
Lustrous stars that glisten in the blackest of night
I love you more than the
Warm sun that kisses my face each glorious day
I love you more than the
Flamboyant flowers that beautify the country side
I love you more than the
Rolling hills and trees that landscape the perpetual horizon
I love you more than the
Cool morning breeze that caresses my soft skin
I love you more than the
Fresh air that fills my lungs with each breath I take
I love you more than the
Blood that pulses through my veins
I love you more than the
Last brilliant rays of a divine sunset
I love you more than any words could ever express
You make my life feel enlivened once again
You alone are the reason I wake each morning
You are the man that I dream of each night
You give me hope, love, compassion, understanding
You have given me all that I have ever dreamed of
You are the missing piece to my heart, my soul
And only when we are together am I whole
For all of this and more, "I love you."

Tammy Blakely Poem
Turn off the lights
Turn the music on low
Light the candles
Watch the flames flicker and glow
See the shadows dance across the walls
The shadows of a man and of a woman
Their silhouette now the making of a love story
The illusion of their embrace enticing
As their separate bodies become one
The heat of the candle flame inferior in comparison
To the heat that couple is creating and feeling
The fluttering of their hands roaming across one another's body
The mingling of their words, breath, lips
Their legs intertwined
The wax of the candles beginning to drip
Time no longer exists in this world, their world
Hours pass by like minutes
Cherishing each one that passes
Knowing it could be one of their last
This is their forbidden love
