Faiz Ahmad Poem
Memories,
Sweet and idyllic,
Dark and enchanting,
Mysterious and jealous.
Memories,
Which we gave birth to,
And watered with a can,
Of love and hatred.
Memories,
Caged within me,
And you,
Caged within them.
Today,
I have put them on display,
For the world to witness,
In exchange for their silent admiration,
And thunderous applause.

Faiz Ahmad Poem
I thought I belonged to me until,
Love overpowered me.
Free falling,
With no trace of ground beneath me.
In the labyrinth of emotions perplexing,
I knew,
As much as the pen knows,
what it shall write next,
As much as the wind knows,
Which flame to fan next,
As much as the sun knows,
who shall watch it rise, and who, set.

Faiz Ahmad Poem
The walls,
Surround him as,
He locks himself up,
In the suffocating chamber of nostalgia,
They draw nearer, as,
He frantically runs from corner to,
Corner.
Altering colors,
As they advance menacingly,
To converge about him,
Desolate yellow,
Cold blue,
Diabolical red,
Hopeless white.

Faiz Ahmad Poem
Do not despair, O Heart,
She is still with you.
In the ashes of burnt up Passion,
She is still with you.
On the trembling lips of Separation,
She is still with you.
In the endearing arms of Pain,
She is still with you.
In the Eternal Book of Unfinished Love,
She is still with you.
DO not despair, O heart,
She is still with you.
