Megan Patterson Poem
I get tired at school
Because they're only sheep and
I'm just counting them

Megan Patterson Poem
It's okay
It's all okay
Don't mind me
I'm just trying to feel free
I just want
To sleep
Maybe I'll try
Counting Sheep.
It's dark and
It's cold she
Won't go till she gets a hold
On my life
Forever
I can't fight
She's far
Too clever
When i watch
The stars at night
They reflect
My fears my fright
Is it the stars?
Or is it me?
In the reflected
Windowlight
She's staring at me
Her eyes wide and bright.
Sleep Tight Phoebe
I know I won't tonight.

Megan Patterson Poem
A second has passed,
Now a minute has gone.
Is it going too fast?
It seems so long.
A few days, he was fine.
A few days, no-one cried.
How weird it seems; Time.
That and life flashes through eyes.
I cry for the family,
I cry for the friends.
I cry for them all,
Those here till the end.
I didn't know him,
However, sadness grows.
He had his whole life,
But him... he didn't know.

Megan Patterson Poem
We often think of dark winter days
Cold, grey and shivering
But I think summer has its own sadness
Hidden within the warm breeze
Winter, although it brings us down
Like the snow from the clouds
It's a time of celebration
It gives us purpose and happiness
Whether or not you believe
It's still a time of joy and peace
Summer, although it brings us warmth
Time, a tan, relaxation
It gives me room to ponder
What to do with myself
I wonder,
What can I do for fun in summer?
I struggle to answer the question
That begging question
What to do today?
The days feel both long and short
An endless cycle of sun
Wondering what to do for fun
Then the night, knowing it's all gone
Am I the only one?
