The Gift

What do you give a girl who is like a daughter to you?

When you want do give her everything.

What do you give a girl who is like a daughter to you?

When you have barely enough to support yourself.

What do you give a girl who is like a daughter to you?

You tell her you love her and keep on telling her.

What do you give a girl who is like a daughter to you?

You tell her how proud you are of her.

When she falls (and she will) you give her your hand and help her up.

You give her a shoulder to lean on,

and tell her again how proud you are of her and next time it will work

My Vistors

I had a family visit today,
On their way back from vacation,
They stopped in to say hi! and spread some news,
It's too bad this isn't their final destination.

                              There was April Love,
She lives up to her name.
                              She loves one and all,
                                 Exactly the same.

                              There was Amanda Gail,
Named after her mom and Grandpa.
                                A very fine girl,
If she keeps her head up she will go far.

                         There was also Jesse Kenneth,
                           A good looking young man.
If he keeps his eyes open,
                         Someday he'll see God's plan.

They brought along a cousin Andy Justin,
                            A bright young teenager.
He came along to have fun and also,
                          to be the official babysitter.

There were also the parents Robin and Ken,
                            Fine parents they are.
They should be very proud of the job they have done,
For they have three fine kids, and they will all go far.

                        There is also the Grandparents,
                              Gail and Arlene,
                          Together they all make up,
                           the clan called Melugin.

                              It's such a shame,
                              It's such a pity.
                            They can't stay here,
                          In beautiful Bullhead City.

Tears

TEARS

They tell me there are no tears in heaven,
I beg to differ with them.
When I see my twin daughters in heaven,
                      after so many longs years.
I know there will be tears.

We were never allowed, to be together on Earth,
                      Because of so many things.
Now we will be together always,
No one will ever separate us again
I know there will be tears

When I see my Mom and Grandma,
The two most beautiful women I have ever known.
When I see all my friends,
and relatives who have gone before.
I know there will be tears.

When I see my childhood idles,
                      Roy and Dale again,
When I shake Roy's hand again,
                      and meet their family
I know there will be tears.

When I am standing in heaven,
                     on that beautiful day,
                     When all four of girls,
                     Will be around me.
I know there will be tears.

                     There will be my daughters,
                     Loretta and Patsy,
                     my Goddaughter Jaymi,
                     and my Granddaughter Kayleigh.
I know there will be tears.

The tears I am speaking of,
Will not be tears of sorrow or pain,
The tears I am speaking of,
will be of joy and happiness for I will be home.
I know there will be tears.
