Everlasting Love

An eccentric wish
I give to you
Upon your special day
As the sun shines down on you
May you always feel this way
When you look into her eyes
Tomorrow you will see
Filled with love and happiness
Eternal it shall be
Hold her close
Whisper softly
The secrets you hold dear
Cherish one another
Until time stands still

Released

Released

Hate died today
Freed a soul of bitterness
Internal demons
Can eat one alive
Years of anger
Burn deep within
Extinguished today
At last a breath exhaled
A lifetime of cruelty
A soul scarred deeply
Mended instantaneously
Hate died today
Joy filled the deep black hole
Created over time
The brutality of
Physical
Mental
Sexual
Malice
Tore a world apart
A sigh of relief escaped lips
Heavy weight removed
Hate died today
Conclusively
 I am free

Addict

Our baby son
A man on the run
Embarrassed
Ashamed
He proclaimed
No need for this abuse
Love he will always know
Mistakes all around
We pray one day
This family will be found
Over and done
Clean and sober
A good life awaits
Forgiveness
Love
Happiness
To the addict and his family today

Confusion

A glance from the corner of my eye
Shadow figure of you I see
Alone with no distraction
Your voice I hear calling out to me
Tears stream from my eyes
You're not here
Not even near
Controlling you say
I disagree
Concern is what you see
Emotions so confusing
Easily twisted by her
The one filled with so much hate
An agenda to fulfill
Driving a wedge
Between you and me
