Ernest Diego Tugaff Poem
Have you ever met someone in your life?
Whom after a few talks won’t get out of your head?
To the point where you cannot focus,
‘Cause you’re thinking of them instead.
Congratulations and condolences my friend
‘Cause you’ve struck gold,
A rollercoaster ride of your life
Is about to unfold.
It’s a dreadful double edged sword
In which overcommitting, you cannot afford.
Learn when to let go,
‘Cause you’ll be left crashing and burning.
Then you’ll end up wearing a façade,
But deep inside you’re silently dying.
Love doesn’t always have a happy ending,
It’ll make you do things you’ll end up regretting.
Putting effort to where it won’t be appreciated
Is like forcing yourself to someone ‘till you’re hated.
But in the end, when it’s all said and done
You must first love yourself before loving someone.
Don’t be a fool out of love
Just pray to the Man up above,
It is evident around you as you can see
That not everything is meant to be
But there is one thing that I’ve proved from my past,
That good guys, really do finish last.

Ernest Diego Tugaff Poem
Many years ago I've received a gift
'Tis a gift that beats any kind of tip
It helped me in my lowest to give myself a lift
'Tis something that no one else can strip
It can topple all the wealth from any kingdom
It can also help a slave to have their freedom
What am I pertaining to, one might ask
You might already have it but hidden in a cask
The love for wisdom and curiosity to learn
A skill that's innate but not easy to earn
'Tis something that everyone should yearn
But to get it one must not be aloof but stern
The only thing that can steal this gift is death itself
But this shouldn't prevent you from trying enriching one's self.
Non arcum tuum, respicite
Avus, requiescat in pace
