Broken Dreams

I`ve long wanted you… Even wrote this poem called dreams for you…
Cause I often dream of you… A ring on my finger from you…
Childish stuff you know… A child from you and stuff…
Needing you to hold me and stuff… Kissing you like a promise I never wanna break…

Like a prison break you`ve helped me break free and believe that dreams do come true…
And now that I’m free I believe that you are a dream come true…
If you and I were just a dream then we`d be the best dream anyone could ever spin…
Cause I’m just so irrevocably in love with you…

I pray that we may stay together…
And that together we may dream forever …
Though you are a reality I fall more in love with everyday…
Every day you remain the best one my dreams…

I've long wanted you...
Even wrote this poem called dreams for you...
In hindsight, I should've named it woke cause of you
Cause this is another night I'll spend sleepless cause of you...

I still find it funny how hard I clung to you...
When every fibre in my body said to run from you...
But I didn't cause all I wanted to have was the whole of you...
Though the only thing I never got was the entirety of you...

Maybe this will remain my eternal curse...
If we were a dream playing then we're now on pause...
You were what I wanted with bared teeth and at all cost...
That which was never truly mine, which I eventually lost...

I hope this is the last poem I ever write cause of you...
I can't handle having my heart drip crimson cause of you...
I am tired of my soul and hands shaking at the thought of you...
I'll breathe ok again I swear... I'm letting go of the memory of you...

Excerpt From a Poem I Will Never Write

I used to look at cutters when it got bad and tell myself I`ll never go there...

Now I look at my wrists and it`s just sad, I ask myself how I got here...

Hurting myself on the outside trying to kill the thing on the inside...

Feels like I`m drowning while everyone else is just breathing fine...

My thoughts have destroyed me more than any blade ever could...

How do I explain what`s wrong, when nothing is right? When my whole heart is a beating wound...
