Love Thy Neighbor

Love thy Neighbor
By Lisa Noe*Cat*

The violence is everywhere
It’s tearing me apart
In the churches, in the schools
No one follows the golden rule

Snipers randomly shooting down
Innocent citizens hitting ground
Black hates white, white hates black
Jews, Muslims, Christians they all lack

Love and compassion to join as one force
Fight our demons and set a new course
Bring together a world with no war
Stop treating earth as if it’s a whore

Be able to walk the streets day and night
Not be worried or overcome with fright
Raise your children, teach them to love
All their neighbors come push and shove

Shepherd the earth and keep it well
Only time will tell
We’ve polluted our fields and our streams
We’ve taken from God’s dream

He gave this earth as a home so pure
We’re destroying it, turning it to a sewer
Robbing coal and oil
Poisoning the soil

This world has just gone mad
Each generation has had a fad
Children no longer play
They worry each day

Will the world soon end
It’s man’s doing you can depend
He’s writing his own destiny
The outcome in his hands you see

It can be turned around
Everybody make a sound
Say stop to hate,
Try to relate

Make your little piece of earth clean
Help others sight unseen
Realize we are just one race
Humans from every place

Each one bleeds red
Listen to what I’ve said
“Love thy neighbor
As you love yourself.”

A Time To Die

The Gigan form and named it after the archenemy of Godzilla. The structure consists of 16 lines divided into seven stanzas with lines distributed two, three, two, two, two, three, and two. A bit of a rhythmic echo is added by repeating line one as line eleven and line six as line twelve. The final couplet should add some sort of twist.

A Time To Die
By Lisa Noe

There is a time to be born and a time to die,
That’s what the Bible teaches I don’t ask why.

Share yourself while you are on earth
From the time of your birth.
Teach others what you have learned.

Give thanks to the Lord daily, this is a must,
For the Lord God sustains us.

He created a world of beauty for you and me,
Asks only for us to love one another.
Feeling ill I know death is close.

There is a time to be born and a time to die.
Give thanks to the Lord daily, this is a must.

I fear not, for The Lord is with me
I shall rise to greet Him in Heaven you see.
He is the Savior of me

My Lord, I am ready to be with You,
If it is not my time please keep me with you.

The Savior

Balassi Stanza

The Savior
By Lisa Noe*Cat2*

Mary was full of grace
She traveled to this place
Where she gave birth to Jesus
Joseph by her side
They left their home to hide
The Angel was a witness
They went to Jerusalem
To give the child freedom
To save the world for us

He Walks With Me

He Walks With Me
By: Lisa Noe

He walks beside me now
We are the best of friends
He always comforts me
Though He I can not see
For me, He’s always there
Of course, He’s everywhere

It’s God of whom I speak
My faith is good and strong
He lived life as a man
He walked this earthly land
He taught of love and peace
His followers increased

He came to bring a law
To save man from his sin
Jesus was this man’s name
They would put him to shame
Stripped nude and crucified
On a cross where He died

But He would live again
Spoke to the apostles
Go forth and spread the word
To everyone that heard
Christ Jesus has arose
To His Father, He goes

Now in my heart, He lives
And I feel full of love
I want to give freely
I hate to be greedy
God is the Creator
And the mediator.

One Voice God's

One Voice, God's
By Lisa Noe

When the wind rustles in the evening
When the thunder roars in the storm
When a child laughs in its happiness
When the dove coos in the morn
I hear your voice.

It is sweet like honey
It is beauty in its existence
It is the power of the world
Yet it is soft like fur

It is your voice that I hear
When the raindrops hit the ground
I see blazing glory in the lightning of the night
Your words bring ‘bout good tidings
Or warnings to the world
But mostly they bring love and salvation.
Your voice is so strong and glorious
The world stands and follows you.
They say that you are worthy
To rule the universe.
I hear your Voice
