Memories of Mary

Oh how I miss the crunch of those potato chips
Seeing you every Sunday reading the comics

The day before you died and many more before that
You picked me up at the post office
Going home with you stopping to take pictures of the sunset

Once we would get home I would go with you to the garden
You showed me how to plant, and pick tomatoes, squash, and more
Taught me how to peel potatoes, swing, and ride a bike

Oh how I miss those days of us playing games and reading
I remember me sitting in the floor of your room, you on the computer
Me watching T.V, I would see an ad and write down the phone number
To this day if you look hard enough you could still find a list of numbers

Remembering those trips we took, Branson, Alaska, almost New York
You always told me we would go to Hawaii, guess God had another plan
You are gone now but will always live on in everybody’s heart

Yours

You grow up listening to the kids at school
These little people that have the voice of a giant
Their big boulders full of words that will hit you in the face

When you get older you will begin to see what they are doing
They are changing you... for the worse
They try to transform the way you act, the way you live.

Soon you realize what is happening
You realize that you are drowning in a ocean that you can’t escape
Your life becomes flooded and soon you can’t hear
You can’t hear your thoughts, Others become your own

                               What do you do?
                              What can you do?
                           Can you do anything?
I don’t see how when others opinions become the only opinion in your life
                          Emphasis on YOUR life

It is yours, you can still take it back
Take it back from the people that control you
From the giants that slap you daily….daily
They don’t know what they are doing to you

They don’t know it actually bothers you, that it hurts you
It starts out as simple “i'm just joking”, you brush it off
Soon it’ll get to you, then all you’ll want to do is cry…..cry
Now your just drowning yourself, even more in your own tears

Those tears are YOUR tears, remember this is YOUR life, YOU can get back up
                         Don’t let it bother you
                                 You are You

                                  Be yourself
                                     Be you
Beautiful

I Remember That Day

I remember riding home
Stopping for pictures of the sunset
Eating potato chips
Going to bed

I remember waking up
She was off
Off to race
Off to her unknown

I remember eating the food
Grandma’s homemade food
Biscuits, gravy, sausage
Every Time, delicious

I remember watching tv
Turning off
No service
Calling mom

I remember the drive
Getting there
Mom answering the call
Hearing about it

I remember she was hurt
Waiting
Scared
Caring
I remember learning
Learning she is dead
Crying
Dying

I remember the sorrow
The hurt
I remember the support
The caring

I remember her life
Her legacy
All that she did
Everything she was

Everything that she is
Everything she will always be
I will remember
Remember I always will

Yours

Only you can do what you do
There is no one like you

You are the one that will always give me a second chance
You are the one that I can pray to in the middle of the storm, when there is no one else, when I am at my worst

Not life or death can separate us, from your love
There is no other God who can save

You will take the worst situation and turn it around completely , you will save me
I could let go of you, yet you’re still going to be there

I could venture away and not have you in sight, you’re right there forever and always.
You are carrying me in your arms, like a newborn child.
I will always hold onto you, for you are my refuge in the storm.
Refuge; providing shelter

You will shelter me during the literal and metaphorical storms of the world
You have a reason you sent these storms to me, you send them to test me, test me of my faith

I sing these hymns to tell you what my heart wants to say but my words just can’t
Worshiping you any chance I have, in your presence. Giving it all to you, everything
You died on the cross for ME, your blood shed for ME
This is why I worship you, this is why I call you God, This is why I pray to you
You are mine, and I am yours

Forever Together

Heart of Gold
Heart of Stone
Stone faced
Stone House
House of Hope
House of Love
Love Family
Love your life
Life is amazing
Life is great
Great friends
Great people
People become friends
People fall in love
Love is wonderful
Love is beautiful
Beautiful flowers
Beautiful World
World full of scenery
World full of lies
Lies for friendship
Lies for relationships
Relationships stay
Relationships break
Break hearts
Break sanity
Sanity is gone
Sanity comes back
Back together
Back in love
Love is forever
Love stays
Stays good
Stays wonderful
Wonderful Wishes
Wonderful Days
Days full of love
Days full of Sorrow
Sorrow in our Hearts
Sorrow in our Minds
Minds that Know
Minds that Think
Think about You
Think about Us
Us Together
Us Forever
Forever with Me
Forever Together
Together we love
Together Forever
Together….
Always….

Anxiety

What to do or not to do
Should I do this
I guess I won’t
Drowning in a oceanic abyss

Where should I go
They say I have time
But I don’t know
All to do is whine

Crying won’t solve this
This problem I have
They want to know what it is
Such a burden to have

Guess that’s anxiety, My problem
That’s why I feel all the way at the bottom
