What the Eyes Sees the Heart Cannot Forget

Sitting on the beach shore,
playing soundly by the sea,
I caught a glimpse of a baby!

I told my mother and she laughed,
she told me I was daft!
but when I told her the baby was drowing in the sea,
she started getting very worried.

My daddy put his book down,
and gave me a concerned frown,
he said that I had gone mad,
which made me terribly sad.

There's a baby drowning!
And my parents did nothing,
so I plunged into the cold sea,
to retrieve that drowning baby.

I could see her there infront of me,
smiling very happily,
and I reached out to save her,
I realised she was swimming!
How could a baby swim?

I grabbed hold of her,
but realised she was plastic!
How silly I am,
to have thought that a baby could possibly swim!

As I brought the smimming doll to the shore,
I could hear my brother laughing.
A little girl retreived the swimming doll,
for it was hers after all.

My father has told the story since,
while eating his delicous mince.
I loathe my eyes for tricking my brain.
I'll make sure this will never happen again.

Springtime At It's Best

Spring is coming soon!
Everyone is calling,
through their cries of joy and happiness,
Finally there won't be anymore darkness.

Winter is leaving,
for good and for long,
it was starting to get freezing,
until springtime came along!

Now you can hear the birds singing,
now you can hear the dogs bark,
now you can see people cheering,
over meadows full of colours and larks.

Winter is fun at first,
when snowballs fly through the air,
but after a while the fun stopped,
and the laughing and joy was nomore.

Spring time was the time,
we were all praying for,
to give a little rhyme,
to sing a joyful song.

Now we smile and laugh,
as the sun shines up above,
and I simply fell inlove,
with the spring time and it's warmth.

Beautiful Words

Writing is my passion,
Reading is my companion,
Imagining is my fashoin
and poetry is my voice.

When you're in your own little bubble,
your own little world,
full of action and fighting,
full of romance and sadness,
along with a touch of happiness.

Dairies full of wonderful thoughts,
books full of wonderful words,
fairy tales full of magic!
And poems full of thought.

Blossoming like a flower,
like an explosion full of colours,
are words full of power
and poems full of wonder.
They are such a big part of our lives.

So when you wake up in the morning,
And the sun has just started rising,
you know that ahead of you,
lies a day full of beautiful words,
Oh, such beautiful words.

The Train At It's Full Speed

The windows are as big as can be,
And out of them you can see,
millions of different things,
all spreading out like wings.

It dates from long ago,
and now it's ready to go,
Travelling in a train,
is never a pain.

Whether night or day,
as some people say,
There's a wonderful invention,
a beutiful creation,
called a train.

Tests

Tests, tests, tests,
We really do our very best,
Revising for hours,
Can't marking be ours?

Can't teachers do tests,
instead of picking on us,
And let us go home early on the bus.

But oh tests, tests after test,
We always do our very best,
Every week and every day,
"Down with tests!" I say.
