For a while life shall quake
Quiver and shiver
Like an alcoholic
Uncontrollable
But will come a time
When the storms depart
Like 'fill up Mabhida';
Joy will fill the heart
Like a peaceful-joyful mob
Peace will crowd
Pain and agony erased
Happiness to be raised
Yes, Sunshine
All will be fine.

A Matric Harvest
A long field, a wide garden
hectic
a stressful time of work
hardwork pays
if only one has the aim to reap
but first to sow
a mile
that is travelled with positive mind
under scary atmosphere
rain
heat
wind
cold when Winter attacks
but courage takes over
when fear attempts
strength rules
when hope arrives
products to be harvested known
vision is present
mission of possibilities
goals to be score no matter what
a hopeful response
faith
hope
love is what is maintained
for success to be the main character
giving birth to 'Congratulations'.

The Blood of Youth
16 June
sad tune
visible blood
visible flood
our beloved were killed
we need to be healed
an oppression
discrimination
the Soweto uprising
the Soweto protesting
so sad
so bad
when pain was against students
when tears were on their parents
many students died
indeed parents cried
so sad
so bad
things were very horrible
all was really so terrible
June 16
hear our cry
lest we die
because of apartheid
lack of help, lack of aid
students died
parents cried.

When I am Weak, I am Strong.
When things go wrong,
I sing a joyful-lovely song-
When I'm weak, I am strong,
Happiness will then last long.
Strenght I seek,
even when I'm sick-
I am strong, not weak,
praying everyday and every week.
When I fall,
strenght I call-
faith, hope, love and all.
Tears on my face,
victory I will chase,
until I receive grace-
until I win this life's race.
I'm a fighter-
I no longer suffer,
I will surely win after-
no more tears, but laughter.

A Strong Woman
A strong woman :
With a great imagination,
after a terrible confussion-
caused by terrible depression,
after her sad obsession.
A strong woman :
with her ambition,
of a good construction-
from a very good education,
of a very good foundation.
A strong woman :
with tremendous vision,
of a tremendous mission-
from an outstanding dimension.
A strong woman :
who has an expectation-
that needs a great concentration-
and dedication avoiding violation.
A strong woman :
Who has an obligation,
that demands perfection-
although she's of imperfection.
A strong woman :
with a good intention,
to lead a strong generation-
to reach a final destination.

came home very late at night
drunk and could not see light
he fell down a broke his arm
that was the last day he caused harm
end of illtreatment to his beautiful wife
it was the end of family strife
he decided to quit alcohol
because he knew how painful it was, to fall
no more does he drink and roughly play
now he goes to Church to pray
he is now a wife's favourite husband
he is both a husband and friend
no more causing pain
but loving again and again.

A Desert-Like Heart
Full of emptiness
droughty
love is absent
misery rules
no river of joy
water's scarcity
a vacant-void
abandoned
like a refuse
ignored
like an uninteresting entity
loneliness reigns
whom to love ?
who loves ?
nothing to cultivate
because it's waterless
no growth
no life
no taste
but isolation
a shameful galaxy.
