Gracynn Hunter Poem
I want to hold you in my arms but you're too far away.
You're so unfamiliar, and yet I'm still in love with you.
But I shall not beg you any longer.
Please just love yourself and wait for me,
for I have been waiting for you.
Wait for me, just a little while longer,
just as I have waited for you
for all this time.
I thought I lost you,
but maybe
you're just yet to be found.

Gracynn Hunter Poem
Read between my lines, I tell you.
Read between my lines.
It shouldn’t be so hard for you to understand
That I love you more than anyone ever knew.
Please just read between my lines
And decipher the code
That I will love you ‘til the end of time
And I hope you love me too.
Read between the lines, my sweetheart
Before I depart into the snow
For I need you to keep sound in your mind
The fact that I will never let you go
I know I may sound crazy
But all I say is true
At least to me, and I know
It’s true to you
Too.

Gracynn Hunter Poem
I wish I could only see you
in black and white,
as the fog settles and you walk quietly
in the streets,
tranquil and graceful.
I wish I could only see you
in black and white,
where you dance in the rain puddles in red boots,
tinted grey by
the black and white world
you would exist in,
only in my head.
I wish I could only see you
in black and white,
for when I see you in color,
you are too exuberant and blindingly vibrant
to the extent where I cannot comprehend
or appreciate your being.
I wish I could only see you
in black and white,
for I know that color is not where you
belong, and not where I can
admire you to your fullest potential.
I wish I could only see you
in black and white,
for you do not belong in my present,
you belong in my past.
That does not make you any less beautiful,
for things seen without the use of color
prove their authenticity.
Seeing you
in black and white
depicts you as something so magnificent,
color is not needed to enhance your being,
for you are beautiful enough
without it.

Gracynn Hunter Poem
I want you to know that I was wrong.
About everything.
About everything we ever had.
But, ironically,
I still want you back…
More than ever.

Gracynn Hunter Poem
You were the darkness
To my light
Where I shine the brightest,
You will always take my light away.
