You toil and toil 
And carry memories 
Of each year. 
You carry the scars 
of disappointment 
Each step of the way 
You are there 
You record and preserve 
 
You know everything 
You are the keeper 
A mind reading 
All knowing Gift from God 
You are wise 
Because you have to be 

You are important 
Selfless 
You are ever present,  
always there 
You are the beginning 
Eternal, never ending! 
You are the eyes and the ears 
And still you persevere
