Stars and Soliloquies

stars and soliloquies

1-18-'17

dream me a day gone by,
when the sun didn't refuse to fly,
when we knew, through and through,
that this tepid water could birth
ice cubes with stalagmite ridges.

and tell me now, lowest daughter
that peace can be found above
the volcanic melted-rock fray,
of a newscaster's tenuous reality,
let's dream again.

into the ocean and around the unencumbered cliffs,
let naught but the wild winds roam,
come home.
home, where vacancies retreat,
our rugged tired souls meet
and we release
bliss from the end of our sordid games.

Prayers Find Me

Prayers Find Me

1-22-'17

Grinning with a sugar tooth vibrant
Groove me through the soupy mist
Standing here in Life and Tonight
Here on the ledge of This:
Standing here, heart thrumming.

Dire cascades collapse away,
Prayers find me everywhere through this day,
There's darkness and Heaven on the verge
But gentle chortles buthumping while
I feel

feel eternity and free,
sing melodiously,
feel the blatant flexed fore-arm
glory of sacrificial certainty,
the world hums,
but I'm not even the plums,
my lady comes
and I'm laughing.

Star-eyes on the brink,
Meet me in the netherregions of time,
Flummoxing cosmically,
Laughing in gleeful super-sanity,
And the mundane collapses
Until it dies so much it lives.

Waltz and Sing

waltz and sing

1-19-'17

waltz me to the darkened room,
where the things happen that never they let you know,
waltz me there with cutthroat and mistletoe,
let me find a blatant hero.

hero worship most sublime
unwind, and find some part of my
long-lost and fragmented mind
weave it to wholeness and tell me
in a warbling breeze,
something profound,
cuz I'm calling out
on my knees.

Walls to Kingdoms and Loves to Rags,
I can't help but climax in the crags,
Help me out long lost sorrow sky,
Help me, I'm too grdng old to die.

sing it to me, darling blue,
sing me the answer, in my wretched heart,
true.
