Lovely Words Or Abuse

I mean I was nothing to you right?
The way you would yell and scream,
“Idiotic”,
I was nothing to you,
I mean no more than a throw away napkin,
You used me to wipe up all of your insecurities,
And I kept them as my own,
Just so they wouldn't burden you,
You lived to show me your love,
With all your kind names for me,
“Worthless” “stupid” “ugly”
I lived for those compliments from you,
They made me cry so much,
But that was just how I showed you my appreciation,
And once you say how I clung to you after you gashed me with such nice things,
You only gave me more,
And more,
And more,
Till you were so sweet I finally decided I didn't want anymore cavities.

This Just Used To Be Unrequited Love

Do you despise me?
Every-time you look at me do you taste dirt in your mouth?
Do you fill yourself with rage at the mention of my name?
Or maybe it's just pity?
Because to you I am nothing more than an animal,
And you're the poacher.

And There Was a Garden Full of Blooming Roses

You thought I was the only rose in the garden,
But what you didn't realize,
Was that I was the only rotted one,
With insects crawling and burrowing into my roots.

Roach

Am I your rose,
Or your roach?
You assure me i’m the rose,
But how can I tell for myself,
I wished I could see inside your pretty skull,
See the flowers of thoughts growing there,
Some made from seeds of envy and hate,
Some from seeds of the most delicate love and tenderness,
I wished I could watch them bloom and blossom,
I wish I knew if you meant everything,
Every word you've said,
How can I tell?
Your face is permanently embedded in my head,
With fine details,
As sharp as the line of your jaw,
And along with the face comes the threat of your potential lies,
Still fresh.
