Mind Heart

I wonder how to do this,
to walk among-st the Judas.
this heavy mind inside my head
weighs me down with thought excess.
obsessed with success
I never find.
inside this troubled mind
I am blind.
besides the head there is the heart,
one that beats and seldom stops.
it decides by beats per minute
filters out thief's and bigots.
it ticks and tocks
reminding me how much longer I've got.
it sparks the brain to think again
and circles back to moments.
when the heart beats, the mind thinks
it starts again, and then repeats.

Redefined

Every day I am redefined
refined by actions.
words are cheap sounds traveling,
no one hears.
The night erases,
the sun draws paths.
I am redefined daily
forward are these steps
my eyes are set
fixated on what lies ahead.
Lately, the past comes in whispers
to me it is foreign
today it does not exist.
I am redefined
an addict to change
Tomorrow I can not predict
Today I am different yet slightly the same

Sanity

In a sane mans head
he lies in his bed
thinking of past regrets.
If he could move past the past
then heartbreaks insanity will pass
and at last
aches, thoughts, and worry
will wither away.
Because since the bitter bite of feelings
has the sane mans sanity gone, left, is still leaving.
Instead of grieving, pray and move on
or the purpose of being
will be nothing at best
except for a cry in the beginning
and at the end death.
