Prisoner

I am a prisoner of my personality- locked behind bars of firm reality,
I am a prisoner of my society-dressed in stripes to stand me out from the world’s uniformity,
I am a prisoner of my sincerity- set apart by the blind for opening their eyes to obvious reality,
I am a prisoner of my conformity -forced to endure my decision despairing in silly absurdity,
I am a prisoner of my beauty -chained in a hole too dark for a charming humanity,
I am a prisoner of my ideologies- driven through life conforming to borrowed priorities,
I am a prisoner of my ignorance- bound by the shallowness of my desire to connect to life’s significance,
I am a prisoner of my religion-forced to one track my mind and depend on a preset decision,
I am a prisoner of my addiction- posted behind a wall of unbreakable brick by brick satisfaction,
I am a prisoner of my universe- checked and controlled like sand in an hour glass that cannot reverse.

Journey

A journey of 1000 miles begins with one step,
This journey is great but also carries some regret,
All hope is not lost for the people that God never forgets,
Our heritage unites us in the eyes of the silent watchers,
The peace and love that dwells among us,
Cements the joy and spirit that defines us,
In harmony and unity should we all abide,
Placing race color and tribe aside,
In our diversity we find our unity,
Like the white on our flag we are a nation of purity,
Standing tall and strong for our own- when need be,
Warriors we always have been like our forefathers in the forest,
Ready to leave our hearts behind for the sake of others,
Kenyans is who we are and our love for each other is what matters

Will She

Will she let me touch her?
Touch her as gently and passionately like a silk sheet would wrap her?
Let my fingers run lightly on her smooth angelic skin,
Be the cause of her goose bumps, lip bites and seductive grin,
Confuse her senses when she lets me in like a shot of the strongest gin,
Uplift her mentally and physically by my actions like a kiss from a love djinn,
Be the cause of her temporary insanity,
As my movement and motion break the boundary that separates illusion from reality,
Embrace her tightly in my arms as we toss, turn and challenge gravity,
Dancing to the tunes of our bodies, slaves bound together by the invisible chains that surround us,
A union- lovely, mystical and wonderful in the dark we shine brighter than the largest of stars.
Singing along to the orgasmic pleasures that control and enslave us.

Incase I Die Tonight

Have I lived to my max – played life by its melody like a sax?
Have I given what I needed to give since birth, increased or decreased value to mother earth?
Have I been true to me and those around, created a feeling of comfort or discomfort when I’m around?
Have I enjoyed my destined days, existing through each with or without regrets cause of my free yet enslaved ways?
Have I loved like I should have, put the existence of another on the same level as mine but above?
Have I made friendships to last the infinity that is time, be part of their spirit and liven like a chime?
Have I laughed to life’s jokes, used my all to unlock nature’s secrets and locks?
Have I tapped into the infinite knowledge, joined the class of the intellectual age?
Have I generated positivity, used my soul to get rid of undesired negativity- or have I lived under the spell of human primitivity?
Have I seen all that is to be seen, used my internal eye as a mirror to my life’s screen?
Have I cried all the tears bestowed upon me, used the trickle to learn and be what I should be?
Have I said what I should have, used my words to reflect my connection with the spirits above?
Have I given life to a bag of flesh, generated newness converting sour to fresh?
Have I, Have I

Vessel

I am a vessel of the universe,
My fingers glide heavenly while the Gods are creating verse after verse,
My soul and mind shall live on way after my body is rotten in a hearse,
The gift of the Gods always a blessing and never a curse.

Letter after letter my being gets lighter and lighter,
The war is just beginning and I dedicate myself as a spiritual fighter,
With pen as my spear and paper as my shield I kill swiftly like a sniper,
Following the path laid out by my forefathers and their ancestors.

A warrior fighting under both moon and sun,
My mind and spirit enjoy the ride in the form of human,
Waiting patiently as I observe and learn,
The secrets of the universe that are passed down from the heavens to man.
