Prince Ikpesu Poem
The most adored among women
Your beauty would slay even the strongest of warriors
When you walk,
Even the heavens is intoxicated with your unimaginable beauty
Your smile blooms like the sun rise
I wish there is a word to describe this passion my heart feels for you
Without an atom hesitation i would quickly declare a war against my fears
And declare to you this wonderful feeling that makes my heart tremble without an end.
Indeed upon your dark tanned skin
Lies the most tender and fragile attestation of an unpolluted love.
Surely, i would tell the heavens of your name.
So the angels would intercede on my behalf.
Because i have suffered a myriad of your unadulterated beauty.
An unforgiving feeling maimed by my passion.
A rare and uncompromising desire abandoned by my sentiments.
Perhaps that’s my fear.

Prince Ikpesu Poem
I miss your presence so much
For it feels so bad knowing we have become but distant lovers
Just like the sun and moon
We only see, but a reflection of our shadows
It melts my heart indeed
How the virgin love, we both shared has faded away
When I stretch forth my hand to hold you
Like a gazelle in a green pasture, you are nowhere around my sight
Alas;
time has stolen and robbed us of the sweet memories we once shared
I close my eyes and all I see is a mirage of the lost fill of love
Sometimes, I wish we can grow old together
But then I realize am hallucinating
A million times, with a solemn voice i cried out
Hoping you would hear me
And come back to heal the injury your absence has inflicted on my heart
But all I see is a remnant of those sweet times
Indeed, it is with deep regret, pain and unbelief
Knowing we are, but like the sun and moon
And so we have been designed to be.

Prince Ikpesu Poem
Man: My princess, I love you even beyond the sunset
If your love taste like wine,
I will always be intoxicated by it.
Just what if, it is to come like fury?
Like a blast,
It will unleash its fury, and consume the forest to ashes.
Woman: My prince and my lord.
You say the words,
But even the heavens can tell you don’t mean it.
It is a crystal picture of deception.
Your love is so deceptive.
Perhaps, an apathy of melancholy, my heart brands it.
The sensation of what you call love,
Is with a thousand and one pains.
Man: My queen and my perfection,
The secret reason behind every smile my face bear,
The source of my strength and happiness,
Can fire burn without yielding smoke?
Can the ocean flow without its tide?
Or can the earth exist without the firmaments?
My precious beloved, my pride and my everything,
If your love is the air I breathe in,
I swear on my existence,
I cannot live a moment without you by my side.
Woman: My eternity, my rare diamond, and my purest of treasures,
Your confession for love, sweeps me off my feet,
The awesome smell and splendor of your presence,
Has made my heart tremble and terrify at the blast of your
incomparable personality.
Your golden declaration,
Flatters my heart with the hopes of being with you.
My sweetheart and my heaven sent,
In the absence of any hesitation,
I wish to affirm my unequalled love for you alone.
My perfection, I love you so much.

Prince Ikpesu Poem
Amaju;
The pride and beauty of all days
In your innocent and unadulterated eyes
I have seen the age and immortality of the sun and the moon.
The incomparable blast of your unabated smile
Acquaints my heart with an acquiescing admiration
Indeed your beauty is priceless and devoid of sentiment.

Prince Ikpesu Poem
Poor me;
My heart has become a tool in the hands of fate,
Maybe it is true; nature is weak.
Like winds in the coast,
Am now an addict of her presence.
I look at her eyes and forget my existence.
It is true; the mystery men call love, has taken hold of my heart.
In the blooms of the sunrise,
My love for her springs awake,
Uncultured feelings that continuously mocks my courage
Could this be the magical feeling my grand mother once told me?
At the eclipse of her presence,
Her fragile hands make my lips tremble with fear.
My princess, please take away your beauty from my weak and helpless eyes:
For there in, is the fortress of my weakness.
I only prayed for a lover.
But in my princess is a slayer.
She slays me every second and restores me back with the blooms of her unequalled beauty.
A spirit and courage to savage all tender moments,
I ask from God.
Through pains and the first blood of innocence,
I would make my lover bound to me.
So she wouldn’t let me off her arms, even beyond the cost of rubies.

Prince Ikpesu Poem
*I AM DONE*
Poor us;
Tools we became in the hands of fate.
Like winds fleeing the coast,
We deracinated our homes, families and cultures.
Indeed we were those who dared the agony of our ventures.
Na ga ma
For 365 days,
we treaded on the paths of dedication and selflessness.
Our miseries, we considered not.
In glory undimmed, we journeyed.
Like leafs tossed by the unforgivable winds,
We matched, but not for the love of it.
Mo ti se tan
With jungle booths and antiquated outfits,
We paddled through the tides of time.
Crooked and rough paths indeed, we journeyed through,
Yet, we tarried not.
All we want is a better place in the society.
Eme si gom
I am done.
Yes, I am done.
I have journeyed through ages of selflessness.
And I have crossed the bar.
I have served my nation
And I have conquered time.
God bless Nigeria
God bless NYSC

Prince Ikpesu Poem
Erima; the woman of my hallucinations,
Like winds in the meadow
So has my illusions besieged me with an unforgiving rage of your unadulterated beauty.
In the lingering doubts and virgin fortresses of my mind,
I hope endlessly.
Shadows of undressed desires eclipse my heart.
Will I ever win her love?
Maybe, today; maybe, tomorrow or maybe never.
In glory undimmed;
My despair mocks me, like a leaf tossed by the harmattan wind.
Alas; I have notured a desire that cannot be mine,
Moments of illusion and jettisoned ideas.
Erima;
Even the splendor and rumour of your presence intoxicates me.
Loving you is a fate, my existence cannot rival.
A new day will come; this I recall.
Thus; in the shameless scarlet and dusty recesses of my unbelief, I would hope.
Until my fears tred down to hell,
Not once beneath the heavens would I ever stop hoping for your love.

Prince Ikpesu Poem
Beyond the horizons of our doubts, we wandered,
For we were blinded by the obsession that confronts us with the shame of illiteracy,
For this cause, we sailed on the ocean of knowledge,
Not even for the love of it.
Rather, in search for fame, wealth, societal respect and social strata
We were those intoxicated by the slogan “go to school, and get rich”
All we ever wanted was to be successful, the only one desire that besieged our hearts.
Suddenly, we mutated into men.
Men who were forced by their desires to read books,
Books they knew nothing about and had little interest on.
All day long,
The purpose flourished in our memories.
To us, it was an adventure, and we dared it.
Never for once did our hearts tarry.
But long after our educated years,
The path to true success feasted on our inadequacies
For we have become only but uneducated men, dressed in the attires of literates.
Though, we declare we are educated,
Yet our knowledge is bankrupt.
For we were schooled, and not educated.

Prince Ikpesu Poem
From a distance I leap,
But no, I can't find you.
The sun is rising.
The glimpse echoes in the deep of the far east.
The beautiful days and memories of the endless love we both shared is lost.
How did it come to this?
Like a night without the moon and stars,
I lay darkened.
Alas, my heart lingers with great pains.
Shadows and flames of surprise and sadness conquers my mind.
Yes, I can feel it; even in my spines.
It is over.
There is no hope at all.
A new light from the recesses of my pains shall spring forth.
And in the solitude of my anguish,
I would sail on.
Often as the sun rises and sets,
I would banish and bury the memories of your love.
And never in the blooms of history,
Would I recall to it.

Prince Ikpesu Poem
I ‘m the ecstasy of unborn hopes and dreams
The frankincense in the moon
The tide in the ocean
I’m the reason for the morning
The pathway that leads to life
I’ m the epitome of wonders yet to be known
I’m the reason why the world will laugh and smile
I’m the virgin source of fragile dreams
The oracle that holds beauty in her palms
I’m the hope that ferment good tidings
I’m the origin of love and the source of all perfections
The future of the world
I’m the destiny of all human race
I’m the next unrevealed world power
I always carry on me, the color of all days
For all I ever care, am a negro and am proud to be
