Christain Hate

You are like a pot,
pouring boiling hatefulness
on the enemies
you should be loving.

You may think you have ample light,
but without a core of love,
you are stumbling around
blindly in the darkness.

Where is your light?
Where is your city
on a hill?

Where is the generous
measure of love,
pressed down,
shaken together,
and running over?

You’re just hiding
Christ’s glorious lamp
under a bowl of hate.

Shine that lamp
on a stand made
of love, not hate.

Hate is the way to
rid salt of its saltiness,
then what do you do with the salt?

Praise God
you have been grafted,
now don’t let
your branches be pruned.

Please stop condemning
and judging unbelievers.
