The Fisherman

Im breathless.
The rising moon is closing in on me.
All I want just out of reach.
Everything I love fading into yellow glow.
My life slips into the rippled distance, as
I row row row my boat
row with all my might
anything that I could say
will surely start a fight and
so I row row row my boat
hope to reach the shore
the current strong as I row on
and fight the pain some more.

I'm breathless.
I hear him closing in on me.
All I want just out of reach.
Everything I love fading into yellow glow.
My cries slip into the distance, still
I row row row my boat
against the river flow
I've been caught by the fishing hook
my raft is sure to blow
but I must row row row this boat
away far as I can
the me that I'm supposed to be
feels trapped beside this man.

I'm breathless.
Hypnotized by the moons light.
Afraid to fight.
He reels me in.

Simple and Consistent Truths

Disregarding time and circumstance,
we must acknowledge ourselves as a series of simple and consistent truths,
each one its own narrative of raw emotion.
With this clairvoyance comes epochal responsibility,
moral obligation at its best, yet we are weeping, soul to soul,
as I barter with gods for any truth that does not discriminate.

Great truth provides only clear and finite directive, free of judgment...
a means to an end.
The truth does not ebb and flow in recognition of ones ancestry or genetic profile.
It cannot be adjusted to maintain societies distorted analysis
of ones successes and failures alike.
Great truth governs all living things and the energies connecting them. Justice.

A quick blink of an eye and I'm dreaming.
The colors are plucked from the vast waters surrounding me;
Vanish! My very own magic show. Then almost as quickly as the colors disappeared,
each piece of my world is replaced with variants of black and white,
the most cautious of shades,
and just like that I am erased from my own masterpiece.

A man speaks to me and I know that he alone could change my world;
he reaches my hand as the swells take me under,
and I have to ask the gods why they chose me. They remind me of the fire in my heart. Silence falls on me like a blanket and
I hear them say "Boldly become the change you wish to see and let this truth be
your courage, your faith, and your anchor."

I lead my head back to my heart
continuing to search for the greatest truth within my spirit.
The gods speak to me, no more. His hands reach for me, no more.
My pulse flutters at the sight of my own reflection. See, I've not shed a tear,
yet still I can feel them, rolling over my cheeks to the corners of my mouth,
I can taste the salt of each droplet, another soul, to drown here in my ocean.

This storm in my heart and my head never ends,
in his arms, waters still, and the tides rage no more.
To stay there would be true peace of mind for myself.
What would come of the damned that I heal off the shore?

He swore my spirits the one most worth saving,
promised never to cry for the hero in me.
His hope was to keep me from tides strong and graving,
But I'm home in that deepest dark place of the sea...

Created by gods, my entire life's purpose,
And the only most loneliest place I can be.

My darkness is light, always misunderstood.
My sorrow heals others. I set myself free.

Sun of January

She's a rare beauty...

The type that almost hurts to look at.
One that shines in a magical way and her eyes reveal the beaten paths of our spirits.

She's placid like the late sunrise on a cold winter morning… an orange ball of fire poised over the horizon ready to vanish into her own luminescence.

She's such a tease.

She's hypnotic, a mystery of sorts,
as she comes and goes each day.

She's predictable, always walking the same road as if she's searching for something she'd lost long before.

She's here. She goes.
She's here. She goes.

She's here in the way a butterfly visits a field of daisies in summer…
(a fleeting moment)

She goes in the way that sea shells disappear into the ocean's tide…
(goodbye forever)

She's here. She goes.
She's here. She goes.
But you can't get her out of your mind.

She stays in the way that a tree stands tall in the forest…
(rooted deep within)

She's there.
She'll always be right there.

Introduction

I wish your soul could feel me. I long for you to love the real me.

Come to me and close your eyes. Strip me down - undress the lies.

Just my flesh left on the bed and the story in my head.

Kiss my face to stop the tears. Listen now with patient ears.

Inhale - Exhale; rise then fall… give and take inside us all.

Lay your head upon my breast. My heart beats different than the rest.

Can you feel me? It's time I tell my story.

Stellar

If stars could write the stories
of all the wandering souls
If memories were more than just
the embers from the coals
If wishes could create a path
so we could run away
And know wherever it may lead
our hearts would want to stay
It glows beyond the sky we see
We'll manifest our destiny
Oh think of all that we could be
Amidst the stars, just you… and me.

Full Moon In Pisces

Not so much to ponder here… I’ve come to a place where I can no longer follow my fear.

I have evolved into a new identity; one I can’t hide from and likewise one I cannot hide. I know no other way to be.

I see the Earth for all she is – alive and in pain; struggling, suffering, and praying for a cure. I can’t help but wonder…

If Humans are the Cancer of Gaia then the Sun must act as a form of radiation sent by a greater knowing to move us to another dimension essentially killing the Cancer of Earth so she can heal thoroughly and allow life to begin again. If this be the case, nothing ever so true, I can see the entire fractal pattern…

and if I can see it – all of it – there is nothing to fear from this life or the next.

What an Adventure. What Freedom.
