Sappy Poem 7

The rain clashes against the ground in a daze.
She has this tired look in her eyes.
She’s troubled, terrified for what happens next.
You tell her to trust you,
but she can’t.
You know she can’t.

She’s confused, lost in her thoughts
dreaming about the day she’ll be found.
Look past the smile, and into her eyes.
Can you see it?
Is it there?
There’s all of her despair.

There’s an actress inside every girl,
look a little closer, you’ll see her there.
She smiles, but it’s fake.
Can you tell that it’s fake?
She wants you to notice,
she wants you to care.

Thunder crashes violently in the sky,
she gives you one last look with a tear in her eye.
Now do you see it?
Now is it there?
She walks away,
but you’ll never care.

She’s screaming,
but you’ll never notice.

Sappy Poem 15: From August To December

Together we would laugh,
we would cry until we couldn’t.
We’d talk until the sun came up,
until we saw that single ray.

We’d splash around inside the lake,
tanning ’til the sky turned grey.
Who knew that it would end this way?
We surely did’t.

The days got bitter,
the leaves dried up.
I’d hold my hands inside my sweater,
you’d simply fade away.

Sometimes you’d come back to me.
“I missed you,” you’d say.
But did you really feel this way?
I don’t think you did.

Snow began to swirl around,
just as you’d come back.
“I haven’t seen you in awhile.”
That is when I’d wear a smile.

You didn’t know it wasn’t real,
you weren’t aware I was already broken.
Did you know that I detected
the lie behind your words?

The best part is that you never knew,
I sensed it from the start.
I couldn’t hold you back much longer,
you had to be let go.

I thought that we’d be friends forever,
but there’s no such thing.

Sappy Poem 17

The part that really hurt the most
is the fact that you blame me.
I didn’t even do a thing,
but you claim that I did.

“I thought you were my best friend”
I am, I was, I thought I’d always be.
“You really hurt me”
how can I hurt you, when I didn’t do a thing?

You’re the one who hurt me most.
You’re the one who used me.
You blamed me, you framed me,
I never did a thing.

You twist my words,
you made my cry,
you say that I’m a fake friend.
when I ask you what I did,
you refuse to look me in the eye.

You lie to me,
don’t give a direct answer.
Make stuff up,
ruin everything.

If that’s the way it has to be,
so be it.
I’ll be here if you need me.

Sappy Poem 8

How did we get here,
standing face to face?
I look into your eyes my dear,
and I find my safe place.

I have these feelings that you don’t reciprocate,
I guess I’m the only one to blame.
Maybe this isn’t really fate,
I should be done with all your games.

But standing here next to you,
I know I could never escape;
your games are addictive boo,
your every move leaves my mouth agape.

You’re fascinating in every way,
maybe thats why its so hard to forget about you.

Sappy Poem 11

You don’t appreciate me the way you should.
Do this, do that,
don’t you get that I’m not a machine?
I don’t work for you, so please, stop treating me that way.

You look at me and see a disappointment,
I know this as a fact.
I mess up, you yell, I cry, pretend it never happened.
You mess up, I confront, you yell, I cry, pretend it never happened.
Tell me, how is this right?

I try my very best,
yet somehow, it’s never good enough.
I get good grades,
it’s never enough.
So what is good enough?
Do this or no college, do that or no job;
I’m only a kid, don’t you get that?

You hate me,
I think I hate you too.
Feeling is mutual.

How do you feel now?

Sappy Poem 10

How do you describe to someone
the way you feel when they ignore you?
How do you say;
I love the way you look through me with a smile on your face,
I love the way you act as though I’m not there,
and I love the way you ignore me.

How do you tell them;
I know you know how I feel,
I know that you don’t care,
and I know you’re waiting for it to go away.

How do you start a conversation;
When he can’t even look you in the eyes,
when he can’t even be near you,
when he acts like he’s too cool for you.

I know you’re a guy,
I know you’re a jock,
and I know that you know you’re hot;
but please, for the sake of me,
at least give me a thought.

I won’t take over your head,
I won’t be clingy,
and I won’t care if you want to end things.
Do it your way, but let me in…
I just want to be friends,
but you don’t seem to understand.

Why do you have to be this way,
can’t you just be a gentleman for once?
Or are you afraid it will kill you?

Sappy Poem 14

Everything is ok,
at least that’s what the world sees.
Inside I’m slowly breaking,
falling to my knees.

You’ll never know of my fears,
my thoughts deep down inside,
they’ll stay in there forever,
they were always meant to hide.

Confusion sweeps over my face
every now and then
but little do you realize
there’s so much more within.

Inside I’m breaking down,
screaming, crying, dying a little,
but that’s ok, you’ll never know,
I’ll hide my thoughts forever.

Sappy Poem 9

She’s on top of the world,
the wind blows through her hair,
whispering in her ear as it blows by;
it won’t let her forget.

The mountain begins to crumble beneath her feet,
everything begins to change.
She questions how she got here,
when did everything fall apart?

She moves on, but she never forgets.
She watches as everyone around her changes,
but she stays the same.
Maybe not to them, but to herself.

When the world thought she was broken,
she proved them wrong.
She never gave up,
never put her head down.

She’s strong,
unable to be broken.

Sappy Poem 6

The stars remind me of all the memories;
They’re vague, but still there.
I remember the way we would laugh,
what changed?

The days went by at the speed of light,
we got lost in the clouds.
At night we’d stay up just to talk,
getting lost in the constellations.

The late night wind would blow through our hair;
not strong enough to muse it.
We stared up at the sky,
sharing our ideas on what could be out there.

We were kings,
where did that go?
