My Heart Bleeds Tears

My Heart Bleeds Tears
By Jim Campbell

My heart bleeds tears
For the voices
I can no longer hear
For the hands I can
No longer hold
My eyes cry
Like a river
That tears through
The land
Never ending
Never ceding
Washing away my heart
I watch as your essence
flows away
The memories
The joys
In my mind still stay
Yet the thoughts
Of never seeing you
Come washing in
As do the fears
That are always here
And then
My heart bleeds tears…..

Bitter Sips

I lay to waste
The sweetest lips
And drink to taste
The bitter sips

I close my eyes
To the beautiful face
And dream the lies
Away without a trace

I chose to stray
From the heart I hold
And put it away
Like the clothes we fold

I live with pain
From what I’ve done
And grasp in vain
Nothing under the sun….

No Return

In hell
Souls burn
Liars dwell
No return..

Words Few

The haiku
Words few
Who knew
As we do..

The Blackbird

The Blackbird
Looms over my grave
At my funeral
Nobody came
Not a soken word
For this slave
Neither a hero
Or unbrave
A life with nothing to show
His last words wen't unheard
The only one he really did know
Was the Blackbird
That looms over his grave..

Beautiful Soul

You can only just tell
The goodness that shines from within
Coming from the brownest eyes
to the touch of the golden skin
Each day is like a new surprise
Given to a hope that this may not end
And all my blues are left to the skies
Leaving more than enough smiles to lend
My mind sways to a brand new beat
As she dances with a soul she never did know
Only God knows why the two did meet
Or if a planted seed was meant to grow
or remain in the moment of the heartbeat
Within the blessings of her Beautiful Soul....

The Story Gets Told

The Story Gets Told
By Jim Campbell

They say world
Is built with
Pain
You can’t
Move ahead in life
Without
Strife
God does not please me
If everything is given
Easily
Living within the storm
Greatness created
Life is
Born
I’m still living
Knowing nothing
About who I
Am
Haven’t the slightest idea
Where I am going
Or where my feet might
Land
My vehicle
I travel in
Is my
Skin
Sometimes so very tough
But really it’s
Thin
You have to make
Your own
Luck
Keep your eyes
On the
Dream
Don’t worry about anything
If nothing is
Happening
Life’s not over
When the fat lady
Sings
Be compelled by the sweat
That
Drenches
Keep digging those
Trenches
Carry that heavy load
keep looking ahead
For that fork
In the
Road
And
Never let your soul
Get sold
Just be that person
There talking about
When that story
Gets
Told……..

The Crooked Tree

The crooked tree
Leans over me
Above my Head
The branch is dead
Yet the leaves are green
Where I sit and dream
It hears my cries
As tears from my eyes
Won't let it die
Until my death
Thats where I'll be
Just me only
And the crooked tree.

Loves Lost Anatomy

Loves lost anatomy
It’s heart resides in each body
To each there is autonomy
Some loves comes freely
For others the headlines are gloomy
You could search there necrology
Heartbreakers live in infamy
Wandering forever endlessly
Are the victims searching for what could be
They cry for they are so lonely
Living in the painful memory
Longing for her he
He longing for she
Living in misery
Pretending to be happy
There own undesired agony
Then there are those who seemingly
Receive love so easily
Give it so honestly
It touches them gently
Two souls far from a dichotomy
Becoming one in this vast empty
The heartbroken watch in envy
Cant grasp this concept mentally
As they see lovers and their loyalty
Holding hands softly and openly
Intertwined for all eternity
Only wanting to receive that sincerity
And their two worlds spin diagonally
As some become loves lost anatomy.

Zombies

Zombies,
walking amongst the undead.
Mindless,
no thoughts in our heads.
Waking,
to a daily dread.
Puppeteers,
controlling without strings.
Humans,
who fall for everything.
Giants,
crushing like fleas.
We,
who are to blind to see.
When,
did we become Zombies?
