Never

Never had a doll as big as yours
Never played expensive toys
Never slept in a cozy, warm bed
Never ate delicious bread

Never heard the words I long to hear
Never said the words I long to say
Never have cared about someone
Never been loved by anyone

Never showered in the rain with friends
Never lived with the people whom you call parents
Never went to church with a company
Never prayed along with somebody

Never learned the things you learn in school
Never tried soaking wet in a swimming pool
Never tried riding in a bicycle
Never went to a place you call mall

Never blamed God for not giving me the things you have
Because His love fulfills the things I never had

There Is None Like Him

I once asked God to give me one thing
And promised to never ask anything again
He gave me the thing I asked in Him
But the promise I made had failed and broken

I once asked forgiveness for all the faults I've done
And said I would try my best not to do another one
He hugged me tight and said "I always forgive my daughter and son"
But I did another fault not one but ton

He didn't fail to give me miracle each day
Eventhough I failed Him everyday
He makes me feel that I am loved and will forever be
And He didn't get mad and thought of leaving me

He always knew the desires of my heart
And fixed me up when I'm torn apart
He's My God, my Father, My King
And there is none like HIM.

At 2 Am

You keep staying awake at 2 AM.
You write, and write, and write.
Then one night, a thought struck you.
A thought that your words are useless
because it can’t save people.
It can’t save humanity.
It can’t put a heart’s broken pieces back together.
It can’t heal a wounded soul.

But then you realize the reason why you keep writing.
You write because that is how you save your own life,
at least.
You write because that is how you give your heart its
own comfort.
You write because that is how your soul console itself.
You write to help yourself take away all the toxic thoughts
you have in mind.

So you keep staying awake at 2 AM. You keep writing.
You keep staying awake and writing until you fall asleep.
