All About Cake

All About Cake-Alleya Joy Kolar March 2016

She looked at it like it was a masterpiece.
It looked as if someone had spent their lifetime on it.
A lifetime so dedicated to every absolute Crumb,
To every bite of which was about to be hers.

She looked through the window, she looked through the glass.
She thought to herself,
“I have to make it mine, I have to make it last.”
So she grabbed her purse and every penny and all her cash.
And then she went, to put her hunger in the past.

She opened the door so effortlessly, so ready for her tastey.
She said hello to a friend waiting by the pastry.

As she waited so eager and ready, she realized she was so anxious that she was sweaty.
The friend in front of her in the line was looking at the very same cake, and could become the beholder.

It was now the friends turn to order.
She stared closely, listened intensly.
She could hear every drop of sweat flow down her back,
she could feel the saliva appear on every square millimeter on her tongue.

They ordered a doughnut.
Relieved she walked forward to ask the cashier for the price of the delicate piece of marvelous-art of a cake that she had been admiring.
He answers and they exchange the amount due.

It is hers as time slows down she finds a fork and a seat to sit in as she joins paradise.
As she takes the last bite she smiles sweetly to the employee and leaves the tip under the plate.
It was the best cake she had ever had.

O Bacon

O Bacon! Alleya Joy Kolar 3/25/15

Ye' is so crisp!
So greased up and sizzlin'!
When I wake to your sent I be trip'n
Because bacon you are my reason for livin'!

Crisp is he, the love of my life.
The reason for my drool.
For my appetite.

When I hear your slices slap onto the pan,
The stomach within my stomach crumbles so my very own can fit more of you in it.

He' so great and tasty.
I'll love you forever
Stay crispy!

The Ferris Wheel of Life

The Ferris Wheel Of Life 3/19/15 Alleya Joy Kolar

Living is riding a Ferris wheel.
With many highs and many lows.
Sometimes with horrid factors that make the ride not fun.

Your parents give the teller the ticket and up you go.
You continue to grow,
Up Up and away you go!

As you go up the Ferris wheel,
You see more of the festival,
More of the crowd,
More of the circus.
More happiness.

When the wheel starts to turn past the highest point,
When the scenes of happiness start to slip.
You got a closer view.
Seeing nothing but inside of you.

See that when things are down,
When the ride is lacking in height,
You get to see yourself.
So when you’re back to the top,
remember.

Remember to love in and out,
And know that if you look within,
You can always find more.

Meet Me

Meet Me Alleya Joy Kolar-April 2015

I'm freaking out because of this person I'm becoming.
I have a problem that makes me hurt people
and this problem is evolving.
I used to only be happy and sweet,
But now when a tendency comes I yell retreat.

I once was happy and full of life;
when this problem did not matter,
but now I hate this and myself in spite.

I may be human but this flaw is too big.
It controls me and I have no hold on the blast!
The explosion, it's so real!
It forces me down here, KNEEL!
I beg for forgiveness and it shines on some light… on that crooked frame.
Can it please be changed?
If there was something that could help me,
Could it please be arranged?
But it must be done precise and neat.
If there was a perfect person, they
would be someone I'd like to meet.
Perhaps they can fix my OCD.
