Hope To See You Soon

You are a million  miles away
thinking of you I am today.

I want to write to tell you so,
although i'm sure you already know.

My body may be far away,
but my heart is what will always stay.

True love is very hard to find,
but you my dear, are one of a kind.

I've found a love so pure and  true,
loyal and honest , that is you.

I am proud to say we belong together,
no matter the distance, our love will not sever.

and when we're together again you'll see,
so happy, together, forever  we'll be!

Friendship

A good friend to me is more than a person,
She laughs, she cries and cares for certain.

She hears you always, without a word spoken,
and in times of trouble, she's a valuable token.

She comes over to lend an un bias ear,
and when she needs you, she knows you will hear.

Her shoulder's are huge and can bare all the weight,
and when you call, she never comes late.

To her you can tell your innermost thought,
because judgmental, she will be not.

A simple little outing is so much more when she comes too,
we can always come up with something adventurous to do.

When  you need help, she's got the call,
and in return,  expects nothing at all. 
  
Your children love her, as much as you do,
and for your children, she cares as much too.

A good friend to me is more than a person,
She's the BEST in the world, and that is for certain!!!!

Thank You For All You Do

At times you may think I don't acknowledge you.
But just know that i see all that you do.

I am thankful for you all of the time,
and surely you are one of a kind
You mean more to me than I can possibly say,
and without you here, i'd last not a day.

you are my calm amidst the storm,
since the very first moment  in front of your dorm.

You are my life long partner and friend,
and we'll be together until the end.

all your hard work, it isn't in vain,
for you my dear, ill do the same.

Your patience and caring and love for our kids,
is the most important thing you possibly did.

you cook, clean, plan and budget too, 
what else could i ever want from you?

each day is a new time in our life,
and i'm so glad that i made YOU my wife!!!!!

The Absent Dad

I am the image of my Dad,
and when you're away, it makes me sad.
I need you here, to learn and grow, 
because without you, you never know,
I am the image of my father, 
and being with you makes me stronger.
I am a small boy now, but growing each day,
I need you around to help me play.
My dad should teach me right from wrong,
and how to sing your favorite song.
To love and be loved, that is your job,
but of these things you will be robbed.
If you think it's not important to stay,
you may regret your decision one day.
To love and be loved, that's my job too,
but without you around, how will I do?
There are things I need to know in life,
like how to choose a suitable wife.
Unimportant these things may seem to be,
I don't know why you just can't see,
the most important parent for me is you,
and you need to fully understand that too!
In your place, who should I choose?
Is there another that can walk in your shoes?
Not in my eyes and I need you to know,
Without you around, I cannot grow.
You are very special to me, you see,
and I need you to want to be around me.
I want to say "hey that's my dad",
and when you hear that, you will be glad.
Sometimes I look all around me and see,
other kids with their dads and wish it was me!

Happy 50th

Turning Fifty's not such a  bad thing,
After all take a look at what your life had to bring.

You've laughed a lot and cried a little too,
And of the hard times, I'm sure there were few!

You've fallen and stood right  back up on your feet,
and many good people you've had the pleasure to meet.

You've worked very hard and played a lot too,
There's not too many that can do what you do.

There are so many people around you that care,
and hope at your one hundredth, they will be there.

In your first fifty years you've done some incredible things,
But I can't wait to see what the next fifty brings!!!!

Young Person Moving Out On His/Her Own!!!!

My heart goes out to you on this day,
because from me you are moving away.

I've raised you and loved you from before you were born,
and now that you're leaving, my heart's really torn.

I know deep inside me this is how it should be,
but I can't imagine you out there all alone without me!

I love you my child and want to protect you forever,
and although you're leaving, our bond will not sever!

Whenever you need to, just pick up the phone.
For you my love, I will always be home.

You're moving away, in body and mind.
and I hope in your life you will certainly find,
a joy like I've had with you through the years.
The happiness, the laughter, the hard times and tears!!!

Be happy in life, be loyal and true,

Happy 21st

Today is the day you turn twenty one!
You've gone pretty far, but it's only begun!

Education, Employment and Friends and Love too???
Oh my, what wonders lie ahead for you.

Be sensible in your venture, known as your life,
especially in love, as it cuts like a knife!

Be honest and loving in all that you do,
and watch very closely as it comes back to you!!!

What goes around comes around, my Mom used to say,
so remember what you do to others will happen to you one day.

Keep strong in life as it will surely take its toll,
and always remember your life long goal.

Put yourself first always. You are your own best friend.
You're the only one who'll be with yourself until the very end!!!

Be good and true and always do the best you can do,
and you'll be please to see what life has in store for you!!!
