Family Stays Family

Family stays family
until the very end
Give no doubt or disbelief
to what a family is.

They fight and they argue
but they give their very best
They make each other happy
I really must confess.

My family is precious
sacred and adorned
Mess with them
and you won't be forewarned.

Cause family is family
no matter what you do
Bless our family Lord
for we know not what we do.

A Broken Dream

A story told by our ancestors
of hatred and broken dreams
Trying to make sense of our history
only to find misery.
In my mind I keep wondering
how this all came to be.

An unheard of mother
An abusive father
And a never ending trail of pain
The child's dream has already been broken.

When will it all end
All this pain and agony
Around every corner
The shadows keep following me.

Chasing me
Surrounding me
Controlling me
There is no help for me.

Yet I must fix my fate
for I am not done
nor is my dream.

Chasing My Shadows

Chasing my shadows
And I'm afraid
The lingering pain
Is driving me insane.

I'm losing control
Of things in my life
And in the mist of it all
I have no will to fight.

I am a soldier
In Gods army for life
Through strife and struggle
Even in the dead of night.

No One Cares

I scream and I yell,
I cry
But no one cares.

I am fearful of myself and others,
I hide
But no one cares.

Why don't they hear my pain ?
I think I'm going insane
But no one cares.

I am alone,
With my thoughts and my misery
But still, no one cares.

I am in a box by myself
searching for answers I'll never have
And still...no one cares, no one cares, no one cares.

My Shameful Journey

This has been a long journey for me
On this path to righteousness you see
I've encountered the good
And tangled with bad.

Where do I go from here you say ?

I must continue my journey
for salvation my friend
I must continue my journey
for salvation is not free.

To go up the stairs
my heart must be pure
If it is not
I must enter the other door.
