Saltwater Spray

Sunlight glistens off the tumbling waves
Two children laughing and enjoying the day
Collecting shells, saltwater spray
Worries are forgotten
Sands through the palm of my hand
Ebbing away the worries and pain
I look to the sky and pray for a better life
And know in my heart someone is watching over us

The Empty Vase

You will never know how it felt that day
When you finally chipped the last piece away
The final blow, when I had nothing left to give
You took it all and laughed away the years
No respect for those I held dear
The words of love you uttered meant nothing

So here I stand the empty vase
I smile and nod politely but no emotion do I feel
Where there was pain only numbness lays now
Unfeeling nothingness dwells where faith and love once resided
Ungiving, uncaring I feel nothing for you now
No guilt or shame of who I am

Maybe one day my heart will renew itself
Right now I just want to focus on the lives I brought into this world
They deserve better and that’s what I will give
A fathom of love and devotion
I deflect your hate for me from around them
And hope to teach them a better way

Love Is

Hurt confusion still holds its grip
Trying to raise above the pain of total betrayal
Truth has opened my eyes
This was not love
Love doesn't hurt, guilt or mistrust
Love is devotion, kindness and understanding
Love is compassion and selflessness
Love is not sacrificing who you are, it is embracing everything you are

New Beginning

Underwater blue staring up through the crystal clear
Sunlight beckons me to the surface for breath
Moving slowly through the water, there is no fear
Calm overtakes my body as I break through
I fill my lungs with air and embrace the sun’s rays

Hope fills my soul and I prepare to make my journey
Little lives that need protecting
I cloak them in my love and guide them to safety
Holding onto the faith of my decisions
No more second guessing

Preparing to climb the mountain with my babies on my back
I feel no weight, there is no burden to carry them
Energy is renewed, it flows through me
I reach the top and turn full circle
I breath in and look to the sky and I am thankful

Heartbreak

No words, hurt, pain, can’t breathe
The ache is indescribable
Face contorts with endless tears, a relentless flow
My body is numb, mind a blank
Disbelief at the horrible truth
For better or worse
Some things are unforgivable
Broken trust can’t be mended
The garden is full of weeds
Time to tend the soil and start again.

Let Go, Be Free

She walks the wire, balance, precision
not wanting to upset the status quo
She moves with caution
A little at a time
Time ticks by
The vastness of her journey on the high wire stretches on
There is no beginning or end
Just the vastness as she proceeds
Who knows what lays ahead
If she falls her wings will lift her
She is love, she is life, she will succeed

Game of Life

Glassbottom boat looking at the world
Trying to fathom the complexity of life
Souls purpose, the journey, growth
Learning your lessons is sometimes hard
Before a breakthrough turmoil reins
Each lesson learnt brings a period of peace
For a time until the soul needs to grow again
A consent cycle
The key is to rise above
Don’t be a slave, just hang on and enjoy the ride

The Banter

The Banter

A simple glance
A touch of hand
A gentle smile
A laugh
A look

Dinner for two
A simple rose
Candles and wine
The excitement
The butterflies

Need grows
Love soars
Two people
Bigger than both of them
Forever

Complete Bliss

My prince has come into my reality
Once only a fairytale now he walks with me
Hand in hand across a bridge and even summer sand
The taste of salt and long lasting kisses It’s calm, it’s clear, it’s real

The secret is easy, be kind and true to your heart and someone remarkable will enter your path
At first you will be blown away as happiness enters and stays
But there is no plateau the building uplifts
The closeness is never ending, complete bliss

The more you let down your guard the more the truth of you will shine through and the forever dream will come true

Let Go

My abundant life is calling me
No dream is lost forever
It just has a timeline
The order is set out perfectly
There is no need to worry

The power of not knowing
Sometimes you don’t need the answers
Let life happen without the need to control
Be happy in yourself, in your life
The rest will flow

I push forward and make the necessary steps
There is no right and wrong
The path is already planned
You just need to seek
Have faith
