A Vampire Lost Among You

As I look upon the sunset, a day of struggles closes.
I've learned to live as one of them.
But only I know the truth.
Once born into this world as a man, only to be led into darkness.
I followed what I thought was right, led me to become submissive of the night.
Now trapped between the darkness and light, it is a existence no longer in my sight.
Will I ever be free, even by death, or will is postpone my plight. This generation distracted by media and social devices only allows the cursed to walk within there vices.

A Holiday Visit

Twas the morning of visitation, and all through my house, not an item was out of place
and I awaited the race.

I jumped from my chair, from the rest from which I was torn. It was the clatter of my children running up at the sound of the horn.

They stormed through the door. with there overnight bags and pillows, kicking off there shoes and jumping for the remote.

The once quiet house, now filled with drama, a pleasant change from the usual norm.

The baby ran first loosing his diaper, while the teens fought over who was more hyper.

The family table welcomed, all but one, with cry's for more butter, and the who would clear the clutter..

The night fell, and the kids camped out. Falling asleep to the sound of the cable going out.

The morning came, and so did Mom.. the sound of the horn was all they heard, they grabbed there stuff and turned and said ... goodbye Dad well see ya soon..

The Shadow Waits

It Stands in the shadows, ever waiting for another.

Its Mans greatest escort to the underworld.

What it takes, is not always Life, But a marriage, a job, or just hope
and never does it look back.

Sometimes it lingers, in patience and silence before it uses its power.

Those who abuse, Steal, or molest, your crimes are not always scene, but the dark one
will make this world clean.

He watches and waits for the moment you take your last Breath, the

Shadow known as Death.

The Christmas Cockroach

Twas the night before Christmas , and all through the trash pile.
The garbage men finished there shifts with a smile.
I the supervisor waved and bid them all goodnight for I would not see them for awhile.
The aluminum cans glistened, keeping the fear away from the night.
Then without a care, did appear a tiny black dot, he wobbled and crawled,
could it be st nick?
Lets hope not. Since he's only one inch thick.
As I looked down, and he did appear, it was Cleo the Christmas Cockroach in all
of his might.
He stood up covered in red paint, with cotton as a beard.
His bag of gifts was in fact weird.
He presented trinkets of garbage and foil.
Truly an angel among the dirty soil.
As he turned away with a smile, he waved to us all
and yelled Merry Christmas I'm off to the Mall....
