Good Bye

GOOD BYE

She slowly walked away,
Turning at the open door.
“Good bye” she whispered and said,
While looking at the bare floor.

The door opening framed her figure,
As she whispered those two words.
Hands together and looking down,
As if praying to the Lord.

Slowly the frame grew bigger and bigger,
But her figure remained the same.
Then there was no frame, there was no wall,
Just your figure for me to call.

There was no cooking, there were no fights,
There were no children to throw the ball.
There was no house, there was no pain,
Just your figure for me to call.

No more thoughts of love and happiness,
No more tears will ever fall.
She quickly turned and walked away,
But I wasn’t there for me to call.

The Road Chosen

THE ROAD CHOSEN

Like thousands of people in (late) life,
I am there, alone and looking at my
Future options. I only have two options,
But I will choose only one, while
Feeling sorry I can’t choose both.
For both will totally change my way of life.

One outcome should seem easier for me,
For most people choose that easy road.
That road for me it’s not attractive, it’s not appealing,
But others are pulling me in that direction,
While knowing that both options,
Will sooner or later lead to the same results.

Once the road was chosen,
It was obvious that both will lead to
A drastic and terminal life change,
And that I had led my path
To a new way of being, while knowing that the other
Option would never be available to me.

In the future I (might) be reflecting with emotions,
That I was to choose between two options,
And that I took the one that was least appealing,
To most.

And that option changed my life

I Thank Frost, wherever you are, for the inspiration
And beg forgiveness for the audacity.

Too Simple Terms

TOO SIMPLE TERMS

SIMPLE TERMS

Absence of all, somewhere I am,
At the infancy of the well measured.

I’ve tasted the honey,
But don’t know how is made.
I’ve constructed a shack,
Without plans or foundations.
I’ve wondered how the river flows,
While fishing with my bare hands.

I look from below at the work of the greats,
Knowing so well I’ll never be there.

I think to myself in too simple terms.
