Parimal Kumar Das Poem
HOME CALLING
I rose from the soil and water of Barak valley
and like a white bellied heron , reached the sky
above the bamboo brakes and the blue hills
to live in an alien land for trivial needs.
But like an ancient father, the meandering Barak
beckoned me, called me to its banks.
I had blindfolded myself ;
I had lost the vision of my land !
I was deaf to the whistling air of Bhuban hill.
How many years have gone by under the neon light ?
I am not quite sure.
My identity has been left to urban dust.
Now that I am growing old, I hear the beckoning
I can see the blue hills, fluttering bamboo leaves
and the full moon cast over the flowing Barak.
I can see the Sonbil , the wood- duck, the kopou phool.
I want to sit by the banks and may ride a boat
across Barak.
If I sleep for ever in the valley, I don't mind.
After all I will merge back into the soil of Barak.

Parimal Kumar Das Poem
DISCORD. (c)pkdas181017
We are not what am working to so hard
We never a peer like bud and tendril
Dealing with the terms, odd and skewed enough
I am dying of a world of fright
I know, as we would not hold anymore
I am keeping on and on, dear me, oh!
I fear being lone, loveless daisy
Now that I am merely staying
Weary of those smiles rotten
Hollow dreams, promises empty, frail pleas
Hiding fears; clinging tears, blowing north wind
Oh! things are badly stopped. Some light, I pray
We not are, pretend what too cleverly
Never were, together there we never!

Parimal Kumar Das Poem
UNION
Swaying bulrush here,
Insane wind, dispersing seeds,
Dark sky, monsoon cloud
All so fervently reminds
Me of your memories green.
Rooted, motionless--
But dispersing my fragrance
To fly high and low;
To reach you, and be-deck you
Celebrating our union.

Parimal Kumar Das Poem
If only once you agree IF ONLY YOU AGREE
I can fetch moon and stars,
Oyster pearls from the deep
And all the comfort of this world.
If only once you agree!
Stay assured I can’t do a bit.
Believe me, I'm still a novice!
I do not know,
How to deduce you?
How to amuse you?
How to seduce you?
But out of nothingness
I know one thing for sure
I can love you in all seasons and reasons.
Like my perfumed hanky, my bifocal specks
My medicines and my obsessions;
You go with me, flow with me.
Licking the raw wound
I savour the flavour of your lips.
A thousand women's breast smelled dried blood;
I long for the jasmine fragrance of yours.
I can’t survive without loving you, thinking of you,
If you drift away like a Semul seed
And ever decide to stop loving me some day
Please do me a last favour;
Leave behind your love-- then part
Where ever, with whomever you please.

Parimal Kumar Das Poem
DECIET
She feigned innocent to me;
Bloomed, color burst, fragrance sprayed.
How insanely I fell for
All those displayed; cleverly made.
How overlooked the veiled reality!
Now that, likings to fade,
She surfaces again; fresh touch
To assume a new shade.

Parimal Kumar Das Poem
BROKEN GLASS Parimal Kumar Das.
Away from the cacophony
Beyond the wires barbed
Over the high walls arrogant
Across the fields empty
Through the woods green
I stride fast to reach there
Where the sky bows gleefully
Where the birds sing fearlessly
Where the hornets buzz playfully
Where promises had been made.
I stop to find you among the daisies
Dear me! Here lies before me a wasteland
Leading to a mystic dusty path
Floating in the raft of south wind
Afar, sail those parched promises.
Wilting moments hide into darkness
Perhaps you have left in the last spring
When the branches bore red flame
Every flower spilled their sweet fragrance
A thousand new birds may have stopped by
And you chose to fly away with one of them.

Parimal Kumar Das Poem
Heart is such an adamant thing
keeps busy, of her thinking.
Though every image drifted afar ;
every grain, every drop with her.
I know all have been said and done,
love wilted under the careless sun
yet heart is such an adamant thing
it grows such fancy wings.
Alibies of a child innocent
asking for that familiar scent.
Knows no barriers, no poison
cravings for that elusive union.
Heart is such an adamant thing
keeps busy, of her thinking.

Parimal Kumar Das Poem
Lying on the grass, gazed
The star studded dark blue sky,
The fireflies glow.
As the breeze caressed my hair,
Fell asleep thinking of her.

Parimal Kumar Das Poem
Amid the void of my state
My soul is rising from the nadir
To swim across the seven seas
And reach your land, at all expenses!
The air that you breathe is so perfumed,
The water that you drink is so sweet,
The path that you tread is so fancy,
I will mingle in this air, this water and this dust.
I don’t mind if you keep closed your eyes,
If you keep sealed your petal lips,
If my offerings you reproach;
Look! I will still merge in your senses.
It’s for my own sake that I love you
It’s for my own sake that I believe in you.
What if you count my in-abilities?
Be sure, dear I will hide your flaws!
Our eyes will meet in surprise,
Our hearts will beat in rhythm,
Our bodies will rest in ultimate union.
Should I ever take refuge in doubt
O’ dear! I must cease to exist for love sake.
