The Poem

Echoing mountains,
I yell just to hear myself,
                  and dream it's a friend.

Good Comes From Bad

What had started out bad,
could have been worse,
the addiction you suffered,
was an evil, nasty curse.
You needed some guidence,
to better yourself,
to start down that road,
to a much better health.
And searching inside you,
you found strength deep inside,
you grabbed it and used it,
it could no longer hide.
Now strong enough to get thru this,
you have surprised yourself,
your smile is golden,
I can see what it's worth.
A different person now,
you see life in new ways,
enjoy each and every one
of your upcoming days.
Still a stranger to me,
yet, I'm so proud of you,
not many can understand,
what you've been thru.

Raindrop (Tanka)

FALLING FROM ABOVE,
LIKE A RAINDROP, SMALL AND MEEK,
                           ONLY TO HIT GROUND.
                     CRASHING AND SPLITTING INTO...
                         MANY PIECES, OF MYSELF.

What You'Ve Done

ALL YOUR GENEROSITY, YOUR LOVING, AND YOUR CARING,

YOU DON’T HAVE MUCH, BUT YOU’RE ALWAYS SHARING

ALWAYS THINKING POSITIVE, NEVER DOUBTING ANYONE,

YOU SEE THE GOOD IN PEOPLE, A CHANCE FOR EVERYONE.

SEEING THE BRIGHT SIDE OF THINGS, HAVING FAITH,

LEADING NO ONE TO DANGER, ALWAYS .FEELING SAFE.

PUTTING TRUST IN PEOPLE, NOT HAVING TO EARN IT,

HANDING PEOPLE A NEW LEAF, THEY DON’T HAVE TO TURN IT.

AND WHEN SOMEONE DOES YOU WRONG, YOU STILL BELIEVE,

THAT THERE IS SOMETHING GOOD, MAYBE, UP THEIR SLEEVE.

YOU’VE HELPED MANY, AND MANY MORE, FROM YOUR HEART,

WHEN PEOPLE GAVE UP, YOU GAVE THEM A NEW START.

YOU’LL GIVE YOUR LAST MEAL, YOUR MONEY, YOUR SHIRT,

JUST SO THAT SOMEONE, WON’T BE FEELING SO HURT.

YOU’VE GIVEN BACK TO MANY, WHAT THEY SOME HOW LOST,

YOU’D GIVE ALL THAT YOU COULD, IGNORING THE COST.

WHAT YOU’VE DONE FOR ME, NO WORDS CAN COME CLOSE,

OUT OF ALL I’VE LOVED, I LOVE YOU THE MOST.
