Our Song

The first verse was the color of gumdrops and magic. The very reason I was alive, they motivation to get up and on with my day. It made me a whole person, and kept my heart together.
When we started getting closer to the chorus it got bumpy but it was the road less traveled, and I was happy to be there as long as he was with me.
When the chorus started my world dropped and I lost him. I was on the road by myself, nobody to help me and my pain was sky high. The birds were the only ones who watched, and comfort brought me back together, the stitches repairing my heart.
By the time the second verse starts he helps me right back up, leading me to this mysterious forest. We go everywhere my dreams have ever described and hold hands the whole way. We settle into a small area but moments later were running from eachother, I'm his worst fear.
The chorus hits again. This time were near people and they see me cry. They see the flood of my tears and they comfort me, catching each one, treating me as a fragile vase.
The bridge starts, and he's back. I've heard the bad about him but I fall again, and we're running even quicker this time. His fear took over his brain. It hurts but we suddenly put an end to it.
And after another chorus my heart is bleeding out and I manage to add last pieces. This time everyone can see me in pain and the most hurtful part is they can't do anything. Not even the best doctor can repair me. My soul moved away. My heart was gone, and so was he.
By the end of the song I can no longer see my emotions. I no longer trust anybody. I'm just a girl walking around and pushing a smile for the audience around her. And I was gone.

Glory

Smokey mountains smoke
Babies are born to commit
Some things are obvious

Volunteer

Home of the free
Home of the brave
Home of the innocent
Home of the heroes
Home of the victims
Home of the forgotten
Home of the broken
Home of the dead

Cookie

Slice after slice broke layer of the cookie dough.
Chocolate oozed from the cookie.
The girl reached to grab the first
It explodes on the floor.
She fell with it
Anything destroyed would ruin her
She started cutting her cookie dough
Tearing the skin
Leaving herself to bleed.

Until a boy reached to grab the top one.
He held it, cherished it, loved it
It was the best cookie he'd ever had.
He wouldn't let it slip.

The plate fell, but he caught his cookie
The floor cracked, but he gripped it tight
The world split and he held the cookie.
The boy and his cookie,
No matters.

One day the boy was a cookie
But his cookie saved him from being sliced.

The Best You

Speak like there is nobody watching,
Dance like a warrior,
Sing like your lungs are newly born,
Strut like a professional model.

Be the best you as you are the only you,
Be the only you, as you are the best you.

Beauty

Crystals emerge from the depths of our ocean
Mighty seagulls leap rock to rock
Sun rays beam to enhance a seashell
A pearl the size of a dock
Though nature is beauty
Beauty is within everything
The Earth's lava seeping into layers
Of black sheer reaths
Each day I find a new element
Of beauty to keep

My Adventure

Day starts off by popping two pills
to erase her worries; but it fails

Off to the place that causes her story
the place that has dried her soul

Leave to the woman who speaks of a futre
Only to lie and hide her scares

Home to her blade to finally carve
She was waiting all day

Buzzing from the mindwasher; one worried person
They dont care about her; they care about themselves

She brainwashes herself into thinking the world is against her
When really it doesn't care

The drama off her laptop scares her; she starts to not care
But it keeps going online

Hospital. Blood. Hot. Sweaty
Flatline.
Revival.
New chance.
Poetry.

Abigail Harp

Average Abigail
Abigail Harp
Had a dog
A dog named spot

Spot could see
Abigail not
Does one simply
Turn to a bot?

Each morning Average Abby
Broke a lense in a glass
Cleaned a dish and put it in
a dishwasher?

Mirrors would crack
Heads would twist
Poor Abigail Harp
Turned to mist.

Letter To My Enemy

A friend is not necessarily attatched to a soul
Because a friend's heart is as black as coal
Friends are close enemies he said
I never knew it would be the reason he is dead
His best friend betrayed him many times
He wouldn't know because of her crimes
The day he was pronounced, everyone cried
Mom, Kurt Donald Cobain died.
The world was shaken as much as told
The weather became a bit more cold
I only ask what happened to your brain?
Whoever killed Kurt Cobain.

Working was a debt
Everything dry was wet
The Heart Shaped Box was closed
And a murderer somewhere posed.
They lost a brother
They wouldn't gain another
Another depressing story
Another lost in glory
Lyrics mean nothing without chords
but hate is all I had towards
I will never be sane,
Whoever killed Kurt Cobain.

His child was left with nothing but a note
His wife was left with nothing but his quotes
But somewhere along she must have known
Because right after, her brains flight had flown
Death is not to blame
Unless his is the life you claimed
I swear it will never be the same,
Whoever killed Kurt Donald Cobain.

The Captive and Her World

I stand drenched in substance;gasoline as sticky as tack
Looking back to see only one man; of two
I fall to my knees and pray; to a distant father
Who let his child die; not make her better

I pray for all the victims; like me
I pray for everything that was lost; as the world was close
And hope to this father that he will come through
Because a life is not what I aim to lose.

I stand drenched in substance;blood as red as the rubies that were crushed
On the day I gave up; the day I was finally lost.
