My Gunman

With the gun to my head
the gunman weeps
I am young
I have lost so much
you will be my release
much pain have i felt
in so short a time
many have I lost
still close
but too far to reach
I have given love
and not received
I have nothing to lose
He is in the shadows
waiting
as i hold the gun to my head
to relieve myself
of the pain I feel
and the love I do not

Smiles Shared

The sky is dark
lightning flashes
thunder roars
emotions stirred inside
as clouds roll by
so do memories of you
there weren't many
but a few
the night you first were
now your soul has gone
but mommy knows
when storms roll by
there you are
my baby boy
looking down
as I look up
smiles shared
through twinkling stars
and twinkling eyes

Dear Me

I have cut you with blades
and watched your blood fall to the floor
to make me feel better
I have allowed many unmentionables
to enter your territory
uncovered
for me
I have covered you in filth
for my simple pleasures
I have sent you against yourself
filling you with bottles of pills
meant to void me of pain
I have used you
and now I'm sorry
we are finally one in the same
Dear Me

Puddles of Pain

With each slice
a tear rolls down your face
you watch as crimson blood falls
thinking back,
you remember the good times
warm sunshine on your face
mom and dad
and you
together
happy tears now
but then you remember
that was in the past
your eyes don't smile now
you watch again as the dark blood
drips onto the floor
puddles of blood
puddles of pain
