Michelle Borland Poem
Your fingertips
caress my lips
And heavy breaths
amuse my neck
Our tongues dance
wet and twisted
My hair in your hands
tense and tightfisted
Your arms wrap around me
and you pull me close
Skin on skin
we start to roast
Now hot and sweaty
you push me away
My flesh is burning
is all you can say
We lay apart
though not for long
My hand finds yours
where it belongs

Michelle Borland Poem
I stole your shirt weeks ago
I don’t know why
I saw it lying on your bed, just so
I put it in a baggie and sealed it up tight
I know how that sounds
I put it in my dresser drawer, out of sight
I stole your shirt weeks ago
It still smells of you
This much I know
I bury my face up to my ears
Your shirt stifles the sobbing
And it swallows my tears
I now know why
I stole your shirt
It helped me say goodbye

Michelle Borland Poem
She took what was hers
and walked away.
Love followed after her
it begged her to stay
and said all the words
Love would say.
She got into her car
and drove away.
Love ran after her
never to catch her
but Love ran anyway.
