Eyes

Eyes so beautiful, eyes so lovely,
Eyes help us view everything worldly.

Eyes express feelings and emotions,
They also impress every notion.

Eyes are the window to our soul,
Eyes clearly catch anything foul.
Eyes express grief and sorrow,
Any emotion they do not borrow.
Eyes widen when surprised,
Eyes close when tired.
Eyes admire the beauty,
They enhance everything pretty.

Eyes when happy twinkle and glow,
Eyes when sad tears through which flow.

My Life Partner

On a bright sunny day I became your wife,
I consider myself lucky for you came into my life.

Together many hurdles and bridges we crossed,
Faced whatever hardships life at us tossed.

Through thick and thin we stuck together,
In all difficulties helped one another.

You have been the pillar of my strength,
I treasure you more than any wealth.

You have encouraged me to learn new things,
You have supported me like a pair of wings.

With your supportive loving nature,
Many new places we could venture.

Due to your love for travelling and adventure,
I could visit many different places and new pastures.

Fragile

Caught in a turmoil
difficult to decide
holding on tight the delicate threads
that bind us together.
Durability lost over the years
frayed ends have developed
need to handle with care
gently tend to it
these threads so fragile
can be easily broken
the way I handle things will decide the course
whether to stretch them beyond limit
or nurture them within the boundaries
faults, mistrust, blame will always exist
to preserve the things close to my heart is a balancing act

Precious

You came into our world,
Like  a ray of sunshine.
Slowly our palms uncurled,
And like a pearl you outshone.

In the days of darkness,
You brought a ray of hope.
Removed all the bleakness,
With renewed zest we could cope.

You are the apple of our eye,
You brought joy happiness and laughter.
All the goodness no money can buy,
Lucky to have such a loving and precious daughter.

Elements

Earth, water, air, fire,
Fundamental elements of Universe they are;
They form the basis,
Of all substances in Life’s course.

Atoms, Protons, Neutrons,
Are often indulged in a dance;
When come together,
They form a substance.

The properties of a thing,
Are decided by its elements supreme;
Its form, shape and color,
Is the basic characteristic.

In a Human body,
Often wonder the elements;
Personality and Character.

Expectations

Let this world be free of Expectations
Expectations lead to Complications
There is a loss of innocence
Where every relation becomes a burden

Expectation from a child by his parent
Expectation of a teacher from his student
Expectation from a junior by his senior
Expectation of one human being from the other

Sometimes expectations lead to disappointments
At times there is failure in commitments
It is a form of reliability on others
It increases the chance of dependency on others

Let us lead a self reliable life
Let us fulfill the condition so rife
Therefore have no Expectation

Shells and Conches

When I was small
And used to visit beaches
I had a hobby of collecting
Various shells and conches.

I used to clean and stock them
In my cupboard nicely arrange them,
In my spare time used to 
Call my friends and play with them.

Over the years like shells and conches
I came across many people,
The wonderful memories they gave me
Are my collections for a life time.

In spite of careful handling,
Some shells have broken over the period,
Like relationships which break
In spite of taking care into pieces myriad.

Poems are a form of expression
when words embrace each other
Emotions pour like lava
Thoughts float like breeze
Feelings pierce the heart
there is turbulence in the grey matter
the creation which is formed grips the soul
this formation has tremendous ability
they can gently caress one self
or awaken one from the stupor
they have no boundaries or barriers
through limited words they convey ample
Such is the power of poetry.

The World Outside My Window

All the days are not the same
Sometimes there is sunshine 
At times grey clouds hover above
Need to be patient and all will be fine

In this vast world there are many different people. 
Each one undergoing some or the other struggle. 
Need to come out of my own cocoon
And peep at the world outside my window 

To experience the different shades of life
It is important to see the world with wide open eyes
Be sympathetic with all around me. 
See the wide vast world around without bias.
