Lost At Sea

I thought I would have soon forgotten your touch and even your taste but the feeling of your lips pressed against mine there was nothing sweeter I used to crave you as a whole but now I only crave to know your thoughts about me is that selfish? There is no comparison for my love other then a seashell in the ocean to some it might be washed up, another thing passed by or looked over onshore but to many I might be exactly what they look for to gather up among many and bring home for their own satisfaction but I’ve recently learned that my love is much better off lost at sea (leaving and floating far surfacing only for a moment not allowing anyone to claim me)

Driving Late Night

Please be the bridge that carries me along
To where ever I am going
Be the structure I need
You may guide others
But be there for me
I'll pay my price, I'll pay your tolls
Be there always
strong and stable
Promise me you'll still be standing
When it's my time to return home

No Longer

As more time passes
It's like a candle's flame burning
Except all the wax is melted
And we're left with a burning wick
And a flame that can only last so long
The candles scent has drifted so far
And so have you
The fire's glow is starting to dim
And I'm losing sight of the familiar face I knew
It's the sad truth
There will be nothing left
Everything will burn
It will be dark
You will no longer be the light that guides me
I will try and try again
To spark up whatever is left
Needless to say it's impossible
There's nothing left of us

Written To Him

He was young. He was a man. Not a young man. A man. He was stern, intelligent, and affectionate. Everything you'd imagine a man to be. Everything you'd want in a dad, in a husband, in a best friend. He was self taught. That's how he earned respect and along the way I fell in love with his tough exterior and better yet his bitter sweet heart. There was something just so familiar behind his chapped slit lips. Something I couldn't put into words. He was someone who knew everything but wasn't afraid to be wrong. Someone who followed his gut more than his mind and knew how to live life. A man made of many walls, that he'd built himself of course. To protect himself of being hurt once again and even more so hurting someone else. With the help of booze, profanity, and laughter he found a way to keep going & until he realizes all of this he will continue to be a man who accepts less than he deserves.

To You

Always learning, Constantly hoping, and Forever loving. This is my message to you; travel far learn everything you can(from everyone you meet), hope for the best even in the darkest of times(sunrise is always only a few hours away), and please love the smallest of things(never let hatred occupy space in your mind). Keep your heart pure. Tomorrow is coming sooner than you think.
