Topak

Again,the solitary way home,o night!
Twice paying the fare, the driver denied..
No steel wall in sight,
Is there any other way to ride
But to turn around and trace the track?
The heart knows it all,
The heart knows he cannot come back,
Always a last trip for a soul..
Then,perhaps,pose a smile,go on
Everything is a killing game
Is there such thing as reason,
When all will fall and end the same?

I'm asking you now,.now..
You can always find me in midnights,
Languishing,lingering,asking how
Could such has all the rights.

It's me,it's me,it's me!
In my own eternity..

*Topak is a Filipino slang word which means tantrum, loose screw, crazy.

Tokhang

With bolt-cutter they destroyed the gate
And they rammed their way through the door
The ones that dictate the fate
Like those religious wars before

"Please, that's my papa, I love him!"Cried the child
While hugging the leg of the man of doom
The man in bonnet ice-cold wild
Locked the child in the bathroom

"Please sir give him a chance,a chance to change,
Cried the wife, in Jesus name sir, in Jesus name!"
Hugging her husband tight, yet it is strange
That a conscience is incapable of shame

The man with a gun swiped her head sideways instead
To keep her away from harm
Pressed the muzzle to her husband's head
Two shots, and he died in her arms..

*Tokhang- is a current popular slang word in the Phillipines which means killed by a policeman's visit.

All In a Minute

All in a minute,in just a minute
When all that seemed infinite
Through Time ordained strife
Turned into pieces of life.
There must be a day after tomorrow
For both of us to go,
And both of us now can go
To the next day of tears
Which will start the coming years
That no one can ever know.
Go now,go,please go
I'll be going too
To face the first tomorrow
Where you will have no part
Save for the beating of my heart!

Peaceful Night

This time, the ceiling has no cobwebs..
The darkness breaks apart with the cellphone's light,
The weather is so hot this part of the year
However the electric wind lulls a soul..
With no clothes on,the night
Has finally lost the fear..
This will be a good sleep.
A good morning.
Thanking the reason of creation.

Cold Is the Night of September

Cold is the night of September
But colder is the soul that drifts away,
A soul that finds no shelter
In the endless rage of day
Lost is the dream that finds no light
More lost is the hope that is so used in the dark
Most lost is the smile in the night
That tries to linger without a spark.

January 9, 2012

The lines were too dead for urgency
The shaman couldn't be reached
The celebration is an emergency,
My heart was finally breached.

The crime scene, darker, meaner, time slower,
A pandemonium should have happened there
But it was outside, and my line was dead
Or it was just this party has no power,
The ghouls tried while I had a spinning head.

The call was nearer, clearer, the light brighter
The master could be easily reached
The place, better, cleaner, safer, prettier
The celebration couldn't be impeached.

The garden with lights that forever burn
Welcomes me with songs of joy,
I can fly now, I giggle in my every turn
Here, I don't need a kind of toy,
One last look..Tears. I will never return.

Summer

It is summer,a summer in autumn
This must be true,this must be true;
Those flowers are never late to blossom,
Because of the day I found you.

But does my love befit your grace
When your heart is far away and unfree?
And can our fear see the better days
When we are comfortable with misery?

It is summer,summer in autumn,
I've found this to be true,
If God is giving you a sea to fathom,
 Would you? Could you?

On the Way Home

The times when the way home is too long,
And the duty's journey is too slow
And the memory that flashes is too wrong,
A distance measured in eternal sorrow..
Along the way some familiar places
Where time can't alter its own fractions
Where darkness can't cover the spaces;
The library of damnations.

Much as I want to refuse
This world so owns me
This world has the right to abuse;
Mine is the night,to sleep is to be free.

Aleppo

There is a cry of hope in Aleppo,
A baby is born in the midst of war
Amidst the explosions, he shall grow
Reaching for that still shining star.

Who's right, who's wrong to desert go
The innocent must live in peace
It's Christmas time, leave Aleppo
This senseless war must cease!

Terror only breeds more terror
Let the children grow in their dreams
Let the children grow not in error
When a right is resolved in extremes

There is a cry of hope in Aleppo,
A baby is born in the midst of war
Amidst the madness and sorrow
Morning will never be that far!

Forgiveness

Truth could become an illusion,
Like the sea water I touch by the shore.
The wind takes me by the side for more
Of those scenes of damnation.
Like songs, they float by
Each for each of those days
That I had lived in sigh
Counting my pain in different ways.

Those days that taught my feet to be restless,
I have forgotten to read my books on the shelf.
With strenuous clarity,I forgave that sadness
After the very day I forgave myself.
