Words

Words

I told you I'd been writing again.
Trying to make true form to go with my name.
Everything I do
and everything I say;
Designed to fill me up,
to make me real each day.

What do you see in me?
My quickly aging face
is not what it used to be.
But the way you look,
your eyes hold me.
I want to be the girl that you still see.

My words say love and my body begs it too.
Yet, the way I am
when I am not with you;
when my body is mindless,
my soul betrays you.

I'm full of words;
some high,
some so low.
Yet, please try to believe.
Go beyond what you've known.
My love goes beyond what they call a disease;
beyond all of this pain that I sow.
Beyond my intentions
Beyond all of my pleas
Beyond the words that so endlessly flow.
