Derek Johnson Poem
Language is an enigma,
Engage not in it's stigma.
For it's terminology,
Is all psychology.
For deceitful lies
Entice the cries
Of those who die
Below the sky.

Derek Johnson Poem
There lies a shadow
Of darkness and despair,
A disputable foe
Filled with lost prayer.
There lies a light
Of purity and hope,
The truth to what's right
In this poem of trope.
Can you tell of the two?
If so, which one are you?

Derek Johnson Poem
This life is but a river
Flowing within it's meanders.
It's course is emplaced,
Though it can be defaced.
As in it may lead astray
To an awful wicked way.
Worry not my dearest,
If thou is but earnest.
For your meaning will gleam
With wholesome self-esteem.
Now paddle your canoe
With a sincere attitude.

Derek Johnson Poem
One's and zero's all to show,
Truth and false, don't you know?
The eutopia of life lies in truth.
Tell these wise words to the youth.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.
There's a double-edged sword you must acknowledge.

Derek Johnson Poem
So intricate this life
Full of it's light.
For not all light
Shines so bright.
Shadowed in thought,
Alone they fought.
Swallowed up pride
Consuming guilt inside.
Worry not you meek,
For all we have seek.
Divine to all that can see
Past the horizon lost at sea,
Into the atmosphere,
And beyond us as beings.
For all there is,
Or was,
Or ever will be;
Will never be known
Without love be shown.

Derek Johnson Poem
Love is an intense feeling of deep affection.
I'd rather detest this simple definition.
Love is the existence to you and I.
It's the fuel to the fire below the sky.
Love is the heart's requisite desire to fly.
It's the ultimate reason we wish not to die.
Love is infinite of meaning wouldn't you say?
Is it not the entire reality to this present day?

Derek Johnson Poem
As I sit here thinking,
I have hopeful wishing.
For our future to be bright
Within the time of our light.
Not simply to just you and I,
But all above and below the sky.
For a world without greed
As it's an unnecessary need.
For a world without negativity,
But filled only with positivity.
For a world without hate,
Or is it already too late?
We will only live to tell
With the word love, I spell.
Love for the one we serve
As we live and observe.

Derek Johnson Poem
Sit down my dear friend,
Allow your heart to mend.
Let me tell you of this tale
Of what love has to entail.
Within the depths of your heart
Lies God's divinity; an holy art.
You may or may not know
Of the feelings it has to show.
A spectrum from bliss
To all the bitterness.
Within this one on one,
You'll see love has won.
For it's the way of eternity
In this life of infinity.
Now sip from the Holy Grail,
I promise, hatred will not prevail.

Derek Johnson Poem
There lies within a day;
Everything, even a way.
In your eyes be not wise,
But have faith and praise.
You'll see a new view,
One without the blue hue.
A shining light oh-so bright;
A fear without the fright.

Derek Johnson Poem
Time is immortal
Seen by a mortal,
Love is divine
As it intertwines.
