Rudy Rodriguez Poem
You judge me before I speak
you expect an accent
an illiterate Mexican that’s illegal
You judge the book by its color
I am a natural born citizen
not much different than you
Yet you judge
You stare but I don’t care
the world by no means is fare
I strive for the American Dream
just like you
I breathe
cry
bleed
have emotions
just like you
My background is irrelevant
My race is no disgrace
My race you should embrace
I live full of grace
Call me naïve but I believe
Believe that one day those who judge
Will meet their own judge
I hold no grudge
You misjudge me

Rudy Rodriguez Poem
We live in a society of war
We strive to live no more
Why all the hate you ask?
Why all the pain we answer
We remove all feelings as people are slain
We are so accustomed to all the atrocities
that we no longer hear the hypocrisies
What can we do you ask?
All we can do is strive to stay alive
Until we collide with the end
whatever that may contend.
We need to learn to mend
and hold strong till the end
We need to mend my friends
we need to mend

Rudy Rodriguez Poem
An innocent soul lost in the struggle to fit in
He was a shy kid we all know him
He kept to himself
Deep inside of him he had the desire to be a
“cool kid”
Where you are known for partying and drinking
Where you are known for all the wrong reasons
He got his chance the night before graduation
He was invited to the party that would be his annihilation
He lied to his parents he saw no harm in it
He was excited to make his debut
He arrived as the beer was flowing heavy
As the freshman girls where getting giggly
He stood out like white at a funeral
They spotted him the
“cool kids”
They swarmed him and charmed him
He drank like he had a bottom less stomach
He felt the intoxication hit him like a sledge hammer
He still felt the emptiness
The desire to belong was no longer there
He was vomiting and falling everywhere
They stood around him pointing and laughing
He had to escape this hateful environment
He stumbled into his vehicle
He looked at the "cool kids"
He said screw it
He speed away to an early grave
Everybody whispers at his funeral why him
He was so quite
He was so shy
He just wanted to fit in
He just wanted to be a
“cool kid”!!

Rudy Rodriguez Poem
Discrimination against our nation
hatred from the worlds population
Why because we do all the annihilation!?
They accuse us of insubordination
when they kill off their own population
Our coalition holds countries in submission
but all we are trying to achieve is our mission
Moving along with little superstition
conducting our missions as if they where surgical incisions
We will accomplish our ambitions
Liberation has been accomplished for many nations
even though there lack of cooperation
we still extend our salutation despite there infatuation
with our annihilation
We continue on with our liberation as a nation
vicious attacks are just a minor irritation
all they do is pump up our population
We shall avoid destruction
We shall overcome the competition
We shall complete this very difficult mission
Discrimination against a loyal nation
Hatred from the worlds population

Rudy Rodriguez Poem
Are dreams more than just figment of our imagination
Are they more than just meaningless
thoughts and ideas flowing around
in our subconscious mind?
Or could we just have another misconception
of our being?
Could there be two sides of our mysterious lives?
Living here on earth and also slipping into another
universe as we slip into deep sleep.
Where time is measured by more than days and hours
Where there is no such thing as dead
Where your dreams and ambitions come true
Where all that are deprived are brought sexual pleasure
Dream Land
Where the keys to unlock the mysterious of our universe
lay hidden for us to discover
Where all that leave the midst of this earth
continue to live
So embrace your beauty sleep
knowing that there is more there
than originally thought
Are dreams more than just a figment of our imagination?
I will let your imagination be the ultimate judge
Dream Land

Rudy Rodriguez Poem
He feels the roller coaster rush
eyes disappear into the back of his head
He indulges that evil feeling that grips him
that grips him like a pro pitcher grips his baseball
like a baby grips his bottle
like a soldier grips his rifle
The short ride is over
he wants that evil feeling again
he wants it to grip every fiber of his being
The short ride is over
he repeats the process as if it where routine and normal
as if he where brushing his teeth
as if he was embracing his mother with a hug
The process overtakes him he derails
the evil grip suffocates him he derails
the evil grip suffocates him

Rudy Rodriguez Poem
I sit here late at night
Wondering what is wrong
and what is right
Spreading all this slam
as if I where damned
My head is jumbled with
the things that people have mumbled
Explosions going off in my mind
some of them aren’t very kind
I need to find a way
to relieve my mind
So I alleviate the jumble
by writing the words I mumble
Insane with pain
from fellow soldiers that
have been slain
I lay here late at night
my eyes falling from the lack of light
my body half in flight
I feel the might of the night
relieving my sight
Relieving my sight from the fight
I sleep now late at night
Dreaming of what is wrong
wishing it was right
My body in full flight
No fight left,
at least thru the night
My body in full flight

Rudy Rodriguez Poem
When the time comes
what will come?
When the end is here
will I embrace it with fear?
Will I see somebody dear that
embraced the end years ago
with no fear?
Will I live in an enchanted world
of dreams?
OR!
Will I decay in a world down under
where the most wretched souls
live in eternal loneliness
eternal suffering?
When the time comes
will there be pain?
Will there be that mystical light
at the end of the tunnel or is
that just a myth!?!
Is heaven a myth?
Is hell a myth?
Is the way we think of life after death nothing but a myth?
Only he that shall perish holds the key to unlock
that chest of mystery
When the time comes

Rudy Rodriguez Poem
When the door swings open
she begins to pray
That scary silhouette at the door
that merciless pig that gave her life
At first he caresses her like a normal father
then he just attacks her
All she can do is absorb his pitiful self
all she can do is whimper
all she can do is lay their
That merciless silhouette lets out a groan
Its over for the time being but his odor still remains
his pain still remains
When the door swings shut
she vomits
she wishes she was dead
she wishes he was dead
She watches the door
She asks god why her
Why her
She watches the door
