Cappuccino

Seduced by the air
The Mastrena pulls me near
enchanted by beans

Grinding espresso
screech foam frothed to warm bubbles
Stream caught entangled

Pour at an angle
Chasing rising to the edge
Tepid in hand, sip.
-Ems'ilverscripts.

-Poet's note-
Wanted to test out a haiku, the allure of it as it tickling my palate, warmed and cozy simply a favourite; dense cappuccino

Thank you for reading, hope your taste is tingling.

Prayers Filled With Freshly Cut Limes: Finished-

I remember those late late nights.
with you running in my head.
no technology, just dimmed lights.
just me and that rosary.
I heard you were in desperate times..

Made me shed a tear and cry.
You adore the puckering sour of fresh limes
My heart yearned for you; yet you couldn't hear me.
So I prayed softly at night.
holding that dear rosary.
each deca, each bead, *dribble*

Hoping, wishful thinking
Stoned faced, but cracked easily by your water.
Rain pours out from missing you
Each drop a dribble *flash* memory.
never stoping to haunt me.....

Each deca. with a wish for success.
your striving... holding on... Staying strong.

-silence-cuts deep.

I knew I had you, yet I doubt you.
Your smile is my joy. Your tears were my pain.
What will i ever do? except be
thankful we have met,

The sense of fresh cut limes set free.
The last feeling i have felt,
from you is the warm of your grace.
That would pucker my lips and
express my face.

-Poet's note.-
Calmed by minty memories. My grandfather was a family value man, and the sweetest to my grandmother. Vintage photographs and fresh summer breeze, held tight,-slice- green shades ripples on a wooden board. dropped in clear glass, poured over ice.

Thank you taking the time in glancing in my eyes, enjoy the warmth of the next sunrise.

My Redemption

My Redemption

Dear mother I have bled my hands
through , rough I what I would
describe myself. inside and out,
through starvation caused by
misplaced words touches and feels
. . I swear you I. I’m only human. Is
what I think but vulnerable lost
drenched wet. to pure and rid
myself of the dirt and scratches
that burnt me. I cried and I
screamed yet no truth can cover
these lies. I told myself to stay
strong. Seek redemption and
salvation by starvation. . One more
night of dressed regret just played
out left upset, , but hey…

No life worth living is easy, I breath
each day taking it slowly. The
nights fade away and I can scream
freely. Air that suffocated me is
loose, giving me that extra boost.
Strength I have gained from what I
thought was shame. Words that I
was taught to shed some light on
these broken memories. I’ve tried
and I’ve lost, I’ve fallen and even
given up on hope . still my human
nature struggles to find, dig deeper
grab harder fight stronger. Give and
be aggressive fight back in her
visions, you can . the only way out
is the next day in.
-Ems’ilverscripts.

- Poet’s note. -
I wrote this, I poured all my heartache into it. I let it all go, all of it. Shackles and chains break, it doesn’t get easier, but you grow from it. Covers lifted and little girl crying, petted, hair brushed, laid there to rest. For once not tense and afraid, but graced like warm air, relieved.

-Thank you for taking a moment to read about me.
