Oluwaseye Ayinla Poem
She’s got an orange and a blue pair of shoes
That I love so much when she wears them
She looks great in her black coloured ear rings
It makes me want to ravish her
She looks great in anything
She’s I want a piece of fan ice
Now and then she’s moody
She’s a Saturn with a sunroof
With her black Afro hair blown
She’s a soft place to land
And a good feeling I know
She’s a warm conversation
That I wouldn’t miss for nothing
She’s a real fighter when she’s mad
And a lover when she’s loving
She’s the necessary evil
Like my old man would put it
She’s a cross between mystery & history
Every day as long as it’s a weekday
Then a church girl on Sunday
She’s a bubble bath of candy
‘Cause she’s too sweet to be true
She’s the giver of the covers
And my heart’s keeper
She’s my warm glass of wine
When she’s feeling kind of tipsy
She’s all the 3 wishes I want
From that genie in the lamp
She’s the picture in my wallet
She’s the hand that I’m holding
When I’m on my knees and begging
She’s my unborn children’s mother
She’s the poem that I’m writing
And the answer to my prayers
She’s the voice I’d love to hear
When I awake every morning
She’s the lips I’d want to smack
During a goodnight kiss
She’s the base drum beating
Way down in my chest
She’s that wooden rocking chair
I want rocking right beside me
Every day that passes
I only love her more and more
And she’s even the one
That I’d lay down my own life for
She’s everything I ever wanted
And everything I need
If I should talk about her
I’d never stop talking
Because she means the world to me
She’s everything to me

Oluwaseye Ayinla Poem
She is my dear
And I’ve only known her for about a year
She is an athlete
Cause she keeps running through my mind
She is a NASCAR driver
Cause she makes my heart race so fast
She is a painter
Cause she fills my life with colours
She is the grim reaper
Cause she takes my breath away
She is a soldier
Cause she is loyal no matter the distance
She is an electrician
Cause she always reignites the spark
She is a pirate
Cause she’s found the X on my heart
She is an astronaut
Cause every moment with her is out of this world
She is a wrestler
Cause loving me is her signature move
She is my girlfriend

Oluwaseye Ayinla Poem
Super-Woman
Wake me I’m dreaming
I’m I still breathing
Pinch me I must be dreaming
Is my heart still beating?
I remember falling right to the ground
But I fell right into her arms
Now we are flying through the cloud
And I can’t see anybody around
She placed my head upon her chest
And made me feel better
She sheltered me from the storm
And stayed to keep my body warm
While I was in her arms
The money, fame and fortune could never compete
With her in my life
The long and hard search would be complete
She never seizes to amaze me
How every now and then she saves me
I’ve titled her the wonder woman
Cause she’s an extra-ordinary human
She’s my Super-Woman
When I got lost
She came to rescue me
No matter what the cost
She paid it with me
When I had my back against the wall
She never gave up trying to save me
Against impossible odds and all
She fought hard to keep me safe
When there was a mountain between us
She climbed it
No matter how deep the sea was
She dove in
She is my angel dressed in armour
Cause she’s one of a kind
She’s my life and safe harbour
Cause she’s the reason I’m breathing
She broke the bonds of my invisible chain
Only God knows how she stops the rain
She’s a super hero
Cause she always pulls us through
She’s my Super-Woman

Oluwaseye Ayinla Poem
They didn’t think we were bulletproof
Well, we proved doubters wrong
They didn’t believe this was true love
All because we’re so young
But we knew this all along
We’ve ducked every rock thrown
They’ve got dirty tricks up their sleeve
We’ve dodged every bullet fired
They’ve resulted to By Any Means Necessary
But we’re stronger than they know
We’ve been through fire and brimstone
We’ve gone through the hurt and the pain
We’ve even been to heaven, hell and back
But we never deterred from our path
We are bulletproof
They speculate
They disapprove
They judge like they know about me and you
All because we love each other
But we’ve got a bond that's unbreakable
They didn’t think we were bulletproof
They didn’t expect us to make it through
They wanted us to give up & throw in the towel
But despite all we’ve been through
We love each other every passing day
Trial after trial
Our hearts were put to the test
Wave after wave
They’ve tried but we’ve clung together
We’re so in love
We’ve been strong through every fight
We’ve swam through every tide
They are no threat to us
Cause we’ve beat the odds together
They can’t kill our love
We’re bulletproof

Oluwaseye Ayinla Poem
Never felt I’d get to be that guy
Who hurts a girl so much she cries
Never thought I’d be that guy
Who denies and tells so many lies
Never ever knew it would come to this
Cause I’ve always despised that guy
That guy who plays a girl for the fool
So much that she can’t forget his name
That guy a girl wished she never met
Cause he played her heart like a video game
That guy who works so hard to get the girl
Then lets her go
That guy who loves to put a girl in the spotlight
Just to steal the show
That guy who doesn’t care
If she gets hurt as he leaves his trademark
That guy who breaks a girls heart
And leaves her all alone in the dark
That guy who doesn’t apologise
Cause a one night stand was all part of the plan
That guy they all call a player
Thought she was my happy ever after
Thought we were meant to be
Thought she was my love & life full of laughter
Thought she belonged to me
Thought to introduce her to my mother
But she never crossed that line
Thought we we’re more than friends
But she never felt the same
Thought I knew her more than anything
But she was just playing target practice
With my emotions
She wrapped me round her beautiful corruption
And fed me the sweet taste of her forbidden fruit
She played the melody of the devil
And I danced to the rhythm of the music
She tore me up to shreds
And brought me back down to earth
She reminded me of my old ways
And the games I played back in the days
She reminded me about karma
And showed me what payback feels like
She reminded me that two can play the game

Oluwaseye Ayinla Poem
Close your eyes
And come closer
Cause I want to hear your chest breathe
Loose control
Mind, body and soul
Cause I want to feel your heart beat
My lips on your skin
Then kisses to your neck
My arms around your body
Then whispers in your ear
But I sense you’re holding back
So I’ll give you a minute
Just to breathe
And another just for you
To calm your heart beat
And quit your second guessing
So give me your naked love
Cause I don’t want to dress you up
You know your naked love
Is what I’m dreaming of
Lip to lip
Skin to skin
Chest to chest
My body over your body
Your hand interlocks with mine
Sending chills along my spine
My nostril gets lost
In the breathing of your hair
Watching you slowly take it off
Mouth-watering and magnetizing
Watching the way you make them drop
Its torture the way you take your time
But I know you’re holding back
And I don’t have the patience to wait
Cause you’re almost there
And I can’t take one more hesitation
So come on and turn me on
Cause I need your naked love
And don’t you button up!
Cause your naked love
Is all I’m thinking of

Oluwaseye Ayinla Poem
She’s the girl, she’s the girl
I’ll sing it out
She’s the girl, she’s the girl
I’ve seen no doubt
Cause I’ve found the girl
The girl in my dreams
The girl covered in leather & gold
The girl to have and to hold
The girl I’ll fight for
The girl who understands
The girl who makes’ me laugh till I cry
The girl I miss when I say goodbye
The girl that made me love again
The girl my life would suck without
The girl I’ll make my bride
The girl stronger than my pride
The girl I deserve
The girl that means the world to me
I’m telling the world
She’s The One
She’s the one, she’s the one
I’ll sing it loud
She’s the one, she’s the one
I’ll say it proud
Cause I’ve found the one
The one who deserves every part of my heart
The one who’s the song on my lips
The one I can live for
The one who’s everything and more
The one I’ll give my mind, body and soul
The one I can grow old with
The one I can’t live without
The one I’ll lay down my life for
The one more important than anything
The one who takes my breath away
The one that never got away
The one that lasts forever
The one I’ll wake up beside
The one and only
Anyone who asks
I’ll let them know
She’s The One

Oluwaseye Ayinla Poem
I was in the cinema one day
Staring at a couple at the corner
Holding hands
Deep in love
Like they can’t get enough
It kind of makes me think it’s not fair
Like we can’t make it work
That we just let it burn
Just staring at the way he looks at her
So adoring
Like she’s the only one for him
Kind of got me wondering
How do we get back
To the way it used to feel
Cause I want a look like that
I want us to hold hands like them
I just want a love like that
Like them
I can’t remember
How we got this bad
Cause you used to say
That I was your own and no one else’s
And I used to say
That I was hooked and could love no other
When did communication end so fast?
Damn I bet they call each other
At least three or four times a day
When did kissing become a thing of the past?
We used to look for a place to steal a kiss
Just watching the way she kisses him
So lingering
Like he’s the only one for her
Kind of got me pondering
How do we get back
To the way it used to be
Cause I want a kiss like that
I want us to call each other like them
I really want to be happy like that
Like them
I know it’s not right
To compare our love to theirs
Cause they are total strangers
And we don’t know what they’ve been through
But I see the way she smiles
And the way he strokes her hair
The way she giggles
And the look in his eyes
The way they cuddle each other
Like they’re the only ones in the theatre
I can’t help but think
That should be me and you
So how can we get back
To the way we used to be
Cause I want a touch like that
I want us to cuddle like them
Can’t we be happy like that?
Or I’m I asking too much like them
I promise to hold you like that
If you promise to give me a kiss like that
Cause all I want to be in love like that
Just like them

Oluwaseye Ayinla Poem
Unlucky the tears I shed
Are not for love and joy
Unlucky I was born premature
And delivered as a baby boy
Unlucky I didn’t know better
Until you were two feet out the door
Unlucky I won’t be the man
To vow “till death do us part”
Unlucky I’m not Usain Bolt
And lost the race to win your heart
Unlucky I’m not Mohammed Ali
Cause I lost the fight before the start
Unlucky I’m not Romeo
And I lost the role to play the part
Unlucky there’s no remote control
To rewind to the time it was better
Unlucky there are no time machines
To travel back to the day I met her
Unlucky I can’t fool reality
And restart to the way we used to be
Unlucky I can’t rewrite history
Unlucky me

Oluwaseye Ayinla Poem
I’ll throw my heart out
Cause I believe in love after love after love
I’ll give it one more shout
Cause I believe she can bring my heart back to life
I’ll come with my heart
And here’s how she’ll start
She’ll bring me into her arms
And I’ll show her where it hurts
Then she’ll ease the ache
While my heart is still beating
She’ll stop the bleeding
Without making a mistake
Cause there’s no time to waste
She’ll drown the pain like a flood
And clean up all the blood
She’ll solve my hearts riddle
And patch me up without a needle
She’ll replace any broken part
Cause she understands
The mechanics of my heart
She’ll bandage the damage
She’ll be the medicine I need
She’ll be the cure
I’ll let down my guard
And wear my heart on my sleeve
I’ll put my heart in her hand
And leave the rest to her
Cause I believe in her
She’ll pick up the pieces
Like a broken glass
And mend my shattered heart
Back together
She’ll repair what’s been broken
And for gratitude
I show her my colours as a token
Of my appreciation
She has control of the situation
Cause she’ll be my medication
She’ll give my heart a break
Cause there’s only so much it can take
She’ll give me more time to recover
Cause she knows it for the better
She’ll be my healer
Cause she’ll fix my heart
She’ll be the remedy I need
She’ll be My Cure
