The Doors of the Subconscious

The beat of the music is knocking from the radio.
It tries to enter her subconscious but the door there won't open.
She has to finish the lunches; then vacuum; sponge the kitchen floor
And now it's time to go to the gym.
She does this three times a week Tuesday and Thursday at the same time, 11:00 in the morning and Saturday's at 1:00 pm.
Two hours of resistance training.
She does a circuit, her circuit.
It is a well planned routine, It is her routine.
It will keep her fit and toned and alive for a few extra years.

As she drives to her workout the radio is knocking again. Knocking, softly, gently at the door that guards the stories she won't talk about.
The places she won't go to and those things that she forbids herself to do.

Sweat Intimate Conspiracy

In what we share there is a wink,
a sweet intimate conspiracy no stranger to the Bard's fifty-seventh.
This I give without even a sigh,
except a smile as I would watch you conspire with one that can give you wings until you gladly succumb to so many small deaths,
 yet you do not expire.

I love you free and unconfined as all your lovers should;
yet I wish no more than you be may cage,
where I might sigh trapped and bound.

I want to be filled by that desire that lets me feed upon the gift of your sweet fruit’s taste.

Then, when I am filled by your offering of intimate conspiracy that only you may kindly share.

I will see that smile again upon your face.

Your Eyes

If a man is coupled with a woman who's eyes are so beautiful that upon seeing them his heart is gladdened even after the saddest moment, then is he to bid her by his side and hide her from all the world so that others never share of those eyes?

Shall we hide the stars from the night sky?

Shall we stop the tides rising to the moon?

Shall we turn away from a child’s smile?

Shall we stop-up people ears from an old woman’s wisdom?

You and your eyes are only best appreciated when shared by others.

That is my promise and it is my wish.

Chanson D'Amour

Chère Lise,

Ma vie avec vous a été une chanson.
Mais il n'a jamais été chanté si clairement
et plus beau que quand nous avons partagé Paris ensemble.

Paris a était nos chanson d'amour.

Daniel
