Bright Yellow Curls

My hair had bright yellow curls.
I liked them a lot
‘Till my mom cut them off,
And that was the end of my world.

Marines

The brave and the proud,
They stand out in the crowd,
They protect all our family and friends.
Their reputation lives on,
The few and the strong,
I'm proud to call one of them dad.

Banquet

Finding a date,
Is the most horrible fate.
I think I should just go alone.
I stand there in fear,
Wondering how to ask my peer.
I think I'm just not gonna go.
