Tiffany Diaz Poem
Literally this, Literally that
First it whites, Now its the blacks
It started with a dream
Turned into a horror movie
Diluted in Arms
Websites unreformed
To date based on race
jungle fever a disgrace
Biracial children
With the prettiest face
All in the name
Of pointing fingers and blame
How it started
History remains
Of diluted minds
A game of exchange
What is the problem
With ignorance they explain
The cycle continues
A story of shame

Tiffany Diaz Poem
Inflicted is this society
Of depicted truths to matter
Does it matter
When every life doesn't matter to the same accord
Accordingly, slavery was abolished
To what effect when our minds are currently enslaved
When the only awakening comes from the mourn of graves
Theres so much to be saved, this is known
Every life does matter
Yet the matter has no volume to skin tone
When the only way is the only way
To band together
Ensuring the importance never fades
In creating the trending phase
Of change
Important Phrase!
Black Lives do matter
Our skin far from white
So the minority as a whole must also lather
The will to stand up for this pigmented matter
Black, White, Hispanic
What ever you may be
We are all created in light of a womb
To the luck of a swim up stream
In similarity of the blood we bleed
N the placenta we once did feed
Linked in red
The blood shed of our being

Tiffany Diaz Poem
I come from a place where its all about your pace
Where hopes and dreams, Are written on your face
Sink or Swim, How?, If in a fire hydrant we played
Streams leading to sewage drains, Childhood dreams washed away,
Tabs on a corner store credit, Verses credit for a house to own
Bare foot and Pregnant, The statistic Known
Wall Street Stock market, Numbers rise then fall
The Statue of liberty, Skyscrapers stand tall
Graffiti and Death painted on Cement Walls
News of Mothers mourning, Repenting on a Sunday morning
Looking down from a firescape, Five storeys high
View of defeat, Hopes and Dreams Still Alive
Bridges merging boroughs of four
Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens, Manhattan their called
Window shopping in a Mall, We can't afford
Those women in Macy's, Their fragrance oh my!
Heightened my senses. My ability to strive
Crackheads at a corner store, itching for some kind
White picket fences, Time spent behind bars
Up on a roof top, Viewing of the stars
The American dream, Off the Avenue of Puerto Rico seen
The hustle and grind of a poor mans dream,
Sparking the hunger, To eat by all means
No walk in the park, No Broadway show theme
Average life in the City, The City that never sleeps
Dreaming with eyes open

Tiffany Diaz Poem
Alluring scents of cinnamon n' mint
Beckoning of holiday cheer
Chiming of bells for a special mass
Dancing n' rejoicing
Ever blessed for the king is born
Framing love under a stable
Gravitating imaginations of joy
Hidden within messages
In boxed of toys
Jolly old Saint Nick
Kindling of spirits
Landing under a tree
Momentum of detail in wrapping
Nevertheless gathering families
Over Dinner conversations are carried
Plates full of a soulful food
Quietness sweeping the table through forks
Rambunctious spread of deserts
Satisfying mindful cravings
Trending time coming near
Upon the morning excite
Various gifts revered
While parents quietly watch
Xeroxing imprints of memories
Yielding imaginations thereof
Zealous baring Santa Claus

Tiffany Diaz Poem
Who would of thought, A Cookie would make us Complete
From the moment we met, We were glad to meet
Vegan inspired, You'd thought it be Yucky!
Therefore I shared, And you were so lucky
Satisfied taste buds, Along with good Conversation
Over a Year later, Off an exit you should've never taken
Soft Kisses and touches, Feeding our imaginations
A feeling much deeper, two hearts making a connection
If I am your Cookie, Then what are you to me
My Blue furry Monster, From Sesame Street
The Cookie to your Monster ; )

Tiffany Diaz Poem
If I am that I am
Should shame plege
That, That I am
When what I am
Combined of choices
Some less dignified
As what I am
Is much more realized
With characteristics
Of selfless deeds
Although I am selfish
Although I am helpless
To human need
Living within a soul of thurst
That I carry from a past life
In which I do not know
Hinting dreams
Misunderstood
Seeking the righteous
Amongst the unrighteous
That I am

Tiffany Diaz Poem
Grit beneath my feet of strength
Of Honor
Death within a win
To be awarded a metal
In the eyes of sin
My heart is now purple
Ever bleeding red
Leading sorrow
Equally Loved
Nonsense of Pride
Developed in a wars crime
Heightened Ego
A man whom is not on the field
Never placing his hand on the trigger
Dapples on the grid
Smiling for your lose is his win
Tempered in a flag
Rising up a post
Overshadowing Death
Numbers in which Climb
Grief in a family's cry
Grit is a better word for Character
Rendering Star Spangled Banner
In God we Trust
The Home of the brave!

Tiffany Diaz Poem
Nervously gazing
Across the table he stared
Watching my silence
My hunger ceasing, As a Poet's Dozen ordered
Sipping a glass of wine, Becoming much more forward
Now served our dinner, Filling our mouths blind with food
Emotions much less suppressed, As its body crepted upon our nerves
Us Two
To which was bliss
Liquid courage approved
Twisted our tongues without a Kiss
Adjourned

Tiffany Diaz Poem
A Poets Dozen Fried stirred put in the Oven
Breakfast Lunch Dinner Dessert they Love it
Your own private Diner a blended Fatata
Served with coffee chocolate makes it hotter
Its your cup of Tea brewing the pot screams
With a bit of Raw Honey melted a throat eased
Butter Bread A Puerto Rican Dream
Melts in your mouth the simple things please
Now if you would like eggs over easy
The yolk in the center would run dreaming
With a side of bacon maybe a piece of ham
To dip in the center would be a grand slam
How about some scrabbled eggs with Cheese
Or a lovely danish hard boiled preferably
Have you ever had punch made with grape juice
Eggs whipped with sugar enhancing a favorite fruit
Maybe a poached egg perhaps an omelette instead
Stuffed with a filling ingredients run to your head
French Toast pancakes hashbrowns at last
This Diner is cooking take a plate don't pass
To swallow it down orange juice take a glass
Your ready to pump iron enough protein you've had
See you next time it was a pleasure to entertain
This diner now closed hope you enjoyed your unconventional first date

Tiffany Diaz Poem
Carrying Birds, Chirping in ears
The sound of Music, A vulture hears
Sing of despair, A storm brewing near
Death taking a toll, Rivers overflow
Earthquakes causing Shakes, Tsunamis in which they create
Time telling a story, Of a land washed away
Buildings of rubble, Body's they Shovel
A loss looking to the sky, Victims wondering why
The world having swallowed, Their love ones becoming hallow
Rising to a new day, Strength for which they pray
Gathering all, Lost memories in a fall
Seasons create change, Birds return for gain
Camouflaging to a time, The color in trees
Photosynthesis causing vibrance, Pollinating the bees
Despite pollutants, Riddling the air
Forever carried in the wind, Wings of an affair
Moving forward in a loss, despite being unfair
Remembering a time, Birds silenced with fear
^^^^^^^^Unexpected Storm^^^^^^^^^^
