Twila My Friend

A very special Downs Syndrome girl,
raised by Godly parents out of this world,
Who were filled with love, patience and grace,
Dad preached GODS word, and
helped others their sins to face.
Twila loved children and helped for years,
in our church nursery, childrens noses to
wipe and tears to clear.
She had no fear of changing diapers,
and loving them dear, as she seemed
like one of them there.
She had no fear to get on the floor,
and play with them there.
Always looking for her special boy friend,
whom she could love to the end.
She was my special friend.
GOD took her home to heaven above,
where she will see and feel all GODS
wonderful love, until I see her again,
in eternal peace and love, someday
in heaven above.

Jack Ledbetter's Legacy

Many families start out poor, and for some
in life all they want is more and more.
Jack could not read very well, but had
a wife, Nadine, who could, and was
wonderful her place to fill.
She read the Bible, Jack preached GODS word.
They were rich in GODS love, and read his word,
and listened for instructions from above.
Jack preached for years about GODS love.
Eight children GOD blessed them with,
now three sons who preach GODS word,
and 2 daughters married to ministers.
Several grandchildren in heaven above.
All eight at one time sang, until all glory and heaven rang.
Twila and Jack to heaven went, and the others are
blest and try daily GODS word to send.
Nadine is 90 and full of GODS love and grace,
no one can ever take her place.
The boys travel and preach GODS word.
and songs so wonderful you can feel GODS
love, grace and mercy to be heard.
Grandchildren worship GOD and sing,
and constantly try others to him bring.
What a wonderful family legacy this little
Arkansas Preacher did to this world bring.

Thanks God

Thank you LORD for loving me thru all my
sinful ways and days.
When I stumbled and fell, you were there,
to help me up and set me back on the way.
When you drew me to you, I was not
anything of worth, but you put your love in me,
to be your child and servant here on earth.
I have many lost loved ones, I pray for everyday.
Please send someone to them, and draw them
with your love, and help them to stay.
I want to be a blessing to you,
as here I work and pray, and sing songs of praise
to you as I continue in your way.
Forgive me when I fail LORD, and help me to pray,
and thank you JESUS CHRIST, my savior today.

God Models the Clay

I know I'm not perfect, for GOD is not finished with me yet.
As I struggle and strive daily, sometimes I forget,
to smile at a stranger, or help someone along,
with a thought of reward, but to pass love along.
GOD smiles on us daily and forgives us our wrongs,
all we have to do, is confess and
ask his forgiveness and have him help us along.
My GOD is always with me, thru pain and joys,
and he expects me to pass it along
to my girls and boys.
So please forgive me, if you I have wronged,
and help me bring others to GOD, as I travel along.
GOD is the potter, I am the clay,
and he will be finished with my vessel some day.

Gods Love

GODS love surrounds me, in all that I do,
if you give your life to him, he will be there for you.
Our prayers will be answered, in his time not mine,
but when the answer comes, it will be sublime.
So live for the master in all that you do,
help lead others to him, and show love too.
Don't be self serving, but put others first,
and GOD will bless you here on this earth.
To see the smile of a child,
and know without a doubt,
that it comes from a pure heart
from inside not out.
As I wait for JESUS return, to take me
to heaven from this cruel earth.
May I be a blessing to him as here I roam,
waiting for him and someday I shall be home.

Old Memories

As we grow older, we remember when,
all vegetables and fruits were grown
at home with no bad additives.
Clothes were made at home from flour or feed sacks.
Mothers stayed home, and dads made the outside pay.
Mothers cooked, cleaned, and helped the with the hay.
Raised meat, vegetables and picked wild berries for food,
knowing that it all would be good.
Honey bee trees were found for honey,
and for this you did not need money.
Eggs and milk were sold or traded for groceries
you needed and could not raise, sugar, baking
soda, and salt.
We made our soap from hog lard and lye,
ground our corn for meal and bought our flour.
We churned cream for butter and fed the pigs,
for bacon and ham and we never went hungry.
We cut wood to cook and heat and cooked
our food on a wood stove to eat.
Water was carried from a running spring,
Fish were caught from a running stream.
Ducks and geese the winter would bring,
deer for meat in season, wild turkey to hunt
and lots of miracles to sing about in spring.
We had lots of flowers and Mom would sing,
and say "look at their beauty and forget being
tired or hungry for other things."

Valentines Love

What if GOD only showed love on one day of the year?
We would be in trouble and filled with fear.
GODS love is everlasting and each moment we live
and serve hem here, not just once a year.
So give your heart to JESUS and from
our sin he frees us, and we can live in his love
each day of the year, as long as we live here.
